we HATED this hotel, we visited Monterrey from Dallas and when we were searching for a hotel, this one got out attention, it’s pretty buy the service was HORRIBLE. 1- the AC didn’t work, we spent two days hot and we called 6 times until maintenance finally showed up to fix the issue after 37 hours.. 2- My mother was with us and one day she ordered dinner to her room around 5:30 pm, there were not utensils, we called and they never arrived until almost 9 pm. 3- privacy, there is not privacy if you are with friends or family members, in the hotel room there is a Cristal wall where next to the toilet and you can see EVERYHTING, you can see the person using the bathroom. 4- if you travel with you wife or husband or girlfriend or whatever, if you need to use the bathroom at night, you will wake up the other person because you need to turn on the lights and next to the bed is the crystal wall that separated the toilet and the bed .. so the light will be so bright for whoever is sleeping. There are sensor light on the floor but they turn pretty quick after 2 seconds so if you are doing your necessities you will need to be moving your legs so the lights won’t turn off. 5- parking is very limited. 6- another time we ordered dinner to our room and the person that brought the food DEMANDED cash tip, we were gonna pay and tip with our credit card but he got upset about it. 7- pool is very small and no sitting , you need to either stand and be cold since it’s not deep, or be on your knees and drowning … Also the area where it was very dangerous, for the price we thought that it would be in a better area. It’s pretty ghetto.
We don’t recommend this place. It’s not...
Read moreStayed in King Suite (Room 803). It’s the room with the floating center division wall between the living room and bedroom. This is the room with the “Stadium BBVA” portrait above the bed. ||This room has a nice layout, great outside views and overall was clean.||However, the only downside of this particular room is the HVAC A/C system. ||While having the huge exterior panoramic views was amazing, it did not help when trying to cool down this room. ||I normally set the thermostat at many hotels at 75 degrees, and the room feels great; however this room was always hot and felt like the HVAC system was working overtime just to get it to cool down. I had to set it at 69 degrees and the system read that the room temperature was 71, but it was not (maybe where the thermostat was located, as that was in the hallway where it was away from the windows).||It had two A/C registers (one on the living room side, and one on the bedroom side); and the bedroom side did not blow as much air as the living room side. ||Also, even with the huge window curtains on the west side, to both help with privacy and possibly the suns rays; it did not help, and you could feel the curtains warm to the touch.||Both my wife and I would wake up sweaty - sleeping with no covers. ||That was the only downside to this hotel stay; other than that, the staff was great, location...
Read moreI definitely agree with some other reviews! The hotel is relatively new, I took some photos of the hallways that look very nice, new and apparently very clean., but not! The carpet is really dirty. And the room... uhmmm, it looks good when you first arrive, but in detail it is very dirty too, the floors and all around is dusty! Even a couple of the people who clean say that they are behind schedule and must hurry because they have very few cleaning staff. Unfortunately they don't pay attention to your requests, even if you call and complain, the staff is friendly, they say yes but they ignore you. It was disappointing that even the security director had to personally go get us towels, apologize and take away the trash one day when the room was not cleaned despite us asking three times at reception to come and clean our room. The view outside is pitiful because of the dirty windows, the photos you can take are terrible. They have room service that is very expensive and slow, even the coffee is delivered not hot. It is best to use Uber Eats to order Starbucks which will deliver it to you in less than 15 minutes. The sheets had hair, just like the “clean” towels have stains. The price was not cheap enough to settle for that bad service. I suggest going to other places paying the same rate for higher...
