Cabañas Maracuya Y Masaje — Hotel in Oaxaca

A beautiful place,only a short walk from the ocean(Zicatella beach) and quite a few restaurants/ bars. It has a lovely pool to cool down in, and the place almost feels like you're in the jungle. We haven't experienced any noise problems, but during the day there were several birds calling in the area, but nothing to keep me from an indulgent nap mid afternoon. Only problem for not giving 4 stars- upon arrival, we were told we were too early,which we were,and the woman that greeted us allowed us to leave our luggage there and let my husband change into shorts. When we returned after check in time, there was no one to be found, but the door was left slightly opened.We went in,but couldn't find anyone. Eventually we discovered the Cabana we had reserved, was open with the keys in the door, and the high speed ceiling fan on and cooling the space. It's really not a complaint, it was just awkward. Great place, calm, quiet, clean. Beds are really comfortable and the staff is super friendly! The only thing that bothered us was children playing around the pool all day during the weekend, screaming, splashing water from and completely ignoring us, guests. They were so loud we had to leave the place when they came. Another thing I would kindly suggest is feeding the stray cat and her baby that live on the property, because they were so hungry when we started feeding them it really broke my heart. And please, once they can be caught, spay them so that there are not gonna be more...

"We stayed a week in the cabana. Fantastic place. The cabanas all have an outdoor kitchen, and there's a courtyard with a pool and sunbeds.
