Good food and quality but light on the flavor. Ceviche Peruano: great fish quality and fresh but the acidity level was mild for an authentic Peruvian flavor, this being said, it was still very good and one of our favorites, a must try.
Lomo Saltado: meat was very tender but if they pre-marinate the meat with garlic and soy sauce, the result will be amazing because they’re using Japanese soy sauce which is naturally fermented and has a lot more umami. I think they just mix it on the wok missing this little but very important step for deeper flavor. And fire, it needs more fire, more candela flavor!
Causa Rellena: My personal second favorite dish of the whole meal, yum! This with a cold beer and I’m satisfied!
Anticucho de corazones: Nicely cooked and brilliant presentation but again, the flavor is mild, missing more aji panca and some garlic for more authentic flavors, but since the meat was so tender, I enjoyed it!
Pulpo Anticuchero: If you can make this octopus have more flavor than the anticucho that tells me anticucho can be done better too. Octopus was tender and nicely seasoned, definitely something to try!
Salad with Queso: My friends really liked it, I just don’t do cheese ;)
Even when the flavors were milder than anticipated it was a good meal with reasonable prices too. Service could use some improvement as some tables were attended before ours even when they came a few minutes later than us but they’re friendly and polite. The ambience is a-ok, just make sure to wear sandals instead of shoes or tennis shoes because of the sand in the floor, I didn’t...

Unfortunately they don’t take bookings and there is communal seating for some tables.
Got in on a Saturday night without much of a wait as just two but Large groups wait longer.
Inside, fairy light and what reminds me of a Mexican Octoberfest tent with wooden tables and mud on the floor.
Service is good. Mezcal sour was too sweet. Margarita was good.
Food: Excellent pescado en contra negra, cooked maki maki almost rare and Beautifully , soft texture with sesame seeds on the outside And a very Al dente rice.
Good: The Tiraditos with jalapeños and cilantro- very good, the green sauce over it was a bit on the sour side.
Average: Arroz Caufa y pescado was average, rice was Al dente with overdone 4 pieces of fish- would order it without the fish.
Good: Peruvian ceviche was good, again tiger juice was on the sour side.
There is only one desert- chocolate brownie which was below average!
Ambience lively with great music.
Service was fast, efficient and attentive.
Highly...
Read moreFood was tasty but was disappointed by the atmosphere and service - the first table we were sat at we were constantly surrounded by 20+ flies to a point where it was really off putting!! (Definitely used to there being some flies but this was so many you basically couldn’t take a mouthful without having 10-20 flies swarm the food!). We were looking around and other tables didn’t seem to have such a problem, don’t know why but we eventually asked to move tables. Unfortunately when we asked, some of the staff were pretty dismissive and rude although they did help us to relocate. The fly situation was better once we moved but overall that plus the service from some of the staff did ruin our meal and we ate as quickly as possible and paid and left which isn’t usually our style at dinner. As we were paying a different member of staff who we hadn’t interacted with did ask about the fly situation and if it was better and the second table which we appreciated but all in all really disappointed in...
