Hotel Casa Vieja — Hotel in Oaxaca

Good day, I have checked into the Casa Vieja Hotel in Puerto Escondido July 4th. Upon arrival in Puerto Escondido I was taken to the Casa Vieja Hotel where Rennie LaRana worked last year and WITH whom I made this years reservation of 5 months, in 2012 I stayed at this hotel 4 months ending September. Last summer I spent $25,000 MXN installing Led TV 40" DVD player, CD Player, frig, stand, rugs, vases, ornamental things, pictures, a hot plate, electric coffee maker, a tea kettle, etc. All locked away in the vanity I paid to have a lock installed $350 MXN which I have a receipt for. I arrived today all of it was gone, stolen, no one admitting to the theft. The lock was compermised. I understand this hotel changed ownership. Even the PIN Number of a debit card I have of an account I have at a local mexican bank was stolen. || ||I can not recommend that any Canadian go to Puerto Escondido simply because of the wanting of Canadian money to purchase things by tourists yet items are then stolen back.|| ||DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY...

IF I COULD LEAVE 0 I WOULD! AVOID AVOID AVOID the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in my life. It is absolutely filthy everywhere, everything smells revolting. The pillows smelt so bad I had to use my own tshirts for pillowcases. All the surfaces were black, the ceiling was covered in black dust and cobwebs and the fan made me sneeze all night… god knows what was coming off it. Booked on the 20 th of December, got here with my 85 yr old aunt and wife and the lady said she couldn’t see my reservation, so i showed it to her and after 20 minutes of her doodling around she said that she had no rooms available. They basically rented my damn room out, irrelevant of the fact that i had a reservation. Very hard to get rooms last min in this town especially carrying around your senior aunt.
