Quinta del Rey Hotel — Hotel in State of Mexico

This is by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in! 15 minutes to Toluca airport & close to a cpl of very nice restaurants, which was nice as we arrived late on a Sunday & their restaurant was closed, but the delightful staff was quick to recommend options for us.|There are multiple, tranquil gardens with fountains & benches. Also a beautiful chapel on site. |The rooms are extremely spacious, very comfortable & spotless. We had room 322, king bed with sitting area & nice balcony overlooking one of the gardens.|It was so quiet & peaceful you could hear a pin drop. |The furnishings are elegant.|Each floor offers a common sitting area with gorgeous furnishings.Sadly, we did not have time to explore the spa, pool or exercise area....next time for sure.|We enjoyed delicious breakfasts in their restaurant & drinks in the lounge.|The nicest,most helpful staff we've ever had the pleasure to meet.|I wish we had more time to spend, which leaves room for a return visit.|This hotel is an absolute must stay!! The Quinta del Rey hotel is a comfortable spacious hacienda-style hotel at the highway 15 (Mexico City-Toluca) at the east end of the city. Built in Mexican hacienda style, two storeys only and decorated in typical style of the 19. century, it offers spacious and comfortable rooms, all with view to the green inner courtyards. Even the bathroom is decorated with taps like swans, snakes and dragons in bronze.||Very polite and helpful staff, parking possibilities inside a hotel courtyard (guarded), wheelchair access to all rooms. We stopped in Toluca for a night, as we did not want to either drive at night or stay in Mexico City after our flight landed. The gardens are delightful and our room was large with eclectic decor. The hotel was almost empty when we arrived but guests for a wedding began to arrive the following day. It does seem to be a nice venue for a wedding. Note that Apple Maps will send you someplace else (where you definitely do not want to be!), Google Maps directions are accurate.
