We had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights during the art, wine & cheese festival. The location was perfect for exploring the festival, as well as for just plain exploring the small town. Literally steps away from the main plaza, and equidistance from the other 2 parks that hosted most of the festival's events. Just being able to sit at the plaza late as well as early to sit and watch the town slowly awaken- perfect!!!||The hotel is very clean, comfortable and in the perfect spot! While being next door to the church seems to have bothered other reviewers, we not only didn't feel the church bells were a nusiance we felt iit was a beautiful part of our stay, and never too loud for us. Even the festival music during nightly events on the main plaza right outside of the hotel was not bothersome- possibly as it never went later than 10:00pm. While the hotel kindly left pairs of ear plugs in the room, we never once needed to use them. ||Ouur room was very comfortable, the amenities were very nice with a pleasant, subtle smell; the shower had good pressure and water got quite hot in 1-2 minutes. We had a nice tiny balcony that overlooked the pool. The AC worked perfectly well, and was an added bonus for the hot days!||The building itself is beautiful! One thing to keep in mind is that there are not many ground floor rooms, but at least the rest of the rooms are only one flight up, and the staff was more than wiilling to assist with luggage! The rrom also had a safe, perfect for a small travel laptop and an iron available when asked.||We only had breakfast there at La Valentina; the breakfast was decent and plentiful; the staff- great! ||One huge takaway for us was the hotel staff! Always so pleasant and accomodating, and very communicative before (great communicaton via whatsapp!) and during our stay. Absolutely wonderful staff, very friendly and accomodating (and willing to assist with luggage down those stairs!). The kind of staff that you remember long after checking out, who make you smiile and say, "Let's go back and stay...
Read moreHotel La Plaza de Tequisquiapan is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to stay right in the heart of the action. The location is absolutely unbeatable—situated directly on the main plaza, you're just steps away from charming shops, local restaurants, artisan markets, and all the energy that makes Tequisquiapan such a special place. Whether you're heading out for a morning coffee or an evening stroll, everything you could possibly want to see or do in centro is right outside your door. It truly doesn't get more convenient than this.
One of the standout features of the hotel was the air conditioning. After spending the day exploring under the warm sun, returning to a cool, comfortable room made all the difference. The A/C worked beautifully and consistently—something that isn't always guaranteed in smaller towns. It made for a restful night’s sleep and a refreshing break in between outings.
The hotel itself is clean, welcoming, and easy to access, even if you're arriving for the first time. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe was peaceful despite being in such a central spot. If you're looking to enjoy all that Tequisquiapan has to offer without the hassle of long walks or confusing directions, this is the...
Read moreThis is a smaller nice, older, clean hotel with a lovely pool and great service. It has secure parking which is a plus in this small town. As other reviewers have noted; the bells from the cathedral start ringing at 6am, and not just 6 short rings. The hotel does provide ear plugs, but the bells are loud, although after the initial wakeup- I was able to go back to sleep. There is also a disco across the street that is a tad loud on the weekends. If you are an early riser or a very sound sleeper- this will not be a problem and the central location, wonderful restaurants and shopping will delight you. We especially enjoyed sitting on the roof and the tables in the street for cocktails in the late afternoon. The beds are firm, but comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated, but absolutely clean with plenty of towels. ||The great part about this hotel is that it is just steps and you are in the midst of beautiful, lovely Tequisquiapan and it's...
