This may be a great place to take instagram photos but it is a striking image of everything unfair with mexico. Some investor comes in a re-creates a fake European town in Mexico and people go crazy. They drive out of the way to eat expensive food and take print worthy photographs. All the while not 100 meters away is an incredibly impoverished town with people living in raw cinderblock houses. Unbeknownst to all of the tourists the most polluted river in Mexico (Aotyac) flows directly out of sight of this fake Tuscany. We crossed the river after leaving Val' Quirico and we were all gagging because of the smell. Investors could gain so much by cleaning up this area and offering more outdoors experiences like horseback riding and kayaking. That would draw a ton more tourists and get people to spend the night. As it is, you will spend about 2 hours here and see everything in the "park". I am unsure of who is making money off this place but it really is rather meh. The food was average and overpriced, go to a real hacienda and experience a more authentic Mexican experience if that is what you are...

It was a great experience to visit, easy to get to. Parking was ok, got there Friday night. We stayed in a hotel inside because we wanted to have extra time to explore without the crowds. There’s some restaurants, lots of stores , few hotels. While dining, there’s live music in different locations. They have construction going on for expansion. The shops open late, we had hard time getting breakfast because restaurants open late around 9:30 and check out was at 12:00. Consider couple of days to get to explore all it has to offer, we definitely will visit again. Staying in has an advantage to take pictures early in the morning or late at night, but it’s inconvenient if you want to have a good night sleep. Walking shoes is a must, heels are nice but it’s hard to walk on stone pathways. Or just have extra shoes. It’s family and dog friendly, more dog friendly than kids really 😁, my daughter is 12 and didn’t have a lot of fun. Don’t know cost of parking since we were staying there. Different types of restaurants, we tried a couple but nothing special...

Beautiful place, lovely landscapes, nice architectural composition, plenty of restaurants, stores, live music and variety of activities you can do to spend a good time with your family.

People is friendly and helpful whenever they can. It tends to get crowded on weekends, but it is totally worth it.

Just an advise, you can visit the place for free( no entrance fee) and the parking is about $50 MXN(free time)

However, food, gifts, handcrafts, services and anything you can buy inside this place is expensive, here some examples: The avg ticket per person for a meal could reach easily 450 MXN Hats and other handcrafts are 3X the price you can pay for them elsewhere Some paid activities could be twice expensive than other places.

However, you can eat and buy whatever you want in the nearby towns if your are going on a budget

I have read comments about racist and discriminatory behaviors in this place, but there is no such thing, it is just that some people may feel that way given the overall high prices...
