What a brilliant place to stay! Ali is extremely welcoming and helpful, and appears to speak at least 6 languages! We stayed here in the family room for one night - four single beds in one room, with a good bathroom (with separate toilet which is always welcome!). We then arranged one night in the nomad camp and one night camping in the dunes, all through Ali. We are so glad we did. We slept under the stars with the nomads and ate the best couscous in Morocco with them, followed by bread with olive oil and date syrup for breakfast. A fantastic experience, genuinely authentic! The night of camping in the dunes involved an hour's camel ride, and we were deep into the dunes for our beautiful little camp - far from the town unlike many people who stayed in 'camps' right by Merzouga and Hassilabied. We climbed the sand dunes for sunrise, had fun sand boarding, ate an excellent tagine in the camp, and returned to Ali in time for breakfast. There is no rating high enough that can truly summarize how we felt during the couple of days we spent with Ali at his place. We met an extraordinary man (and his son); incredibly kind and "HUMAN" who built a jewel of a place, just a stone away from an amazing desert.||La Vallee des Dunes is a beautiful Riad; our room was very nice, clean and comfortable with its en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was delicious... This already deserved a 10/10! ||But additionally, Ali organized for us a Camel Sunrise Ride and a 2-hour Quad experience in the desert: This was EXTRAORDINARY and WONDERFUL! He also took us on a 4-hour 4x4 drive in the desert he loves so much...This was AMAZING!
