It is 4:30 am and I am writing this from Kasbah Sable D’or. I am all night wake up juste waiting for sunrise to get away from this nightmare. I was in doubt a lot about coming here but Mohamed did everything that he could to arrange me a transport from Fez to Merzouga so I came. A long trip that doesn’t worth the effort. So my hell started here. After sunset (yes I lost it and it was dark) he put me in a camel that it was visibly that didn’t want to carry any passengers. As soon as I in the top of it, the camel reared, staying in two paws and I fell from it. I just let my body fell down (I remembered Christopher Reeve). For God, Mohamed picked me and I haven’t hurt myself, only really small things and it run away. After this we went alone to the tent in the desert at night. He told me before that there were others guests there. For my surprise I was alone with this man in the desert and he had a lot of intimacy that I tried unsuccessfully to cut. An explanation: I am all covered, even my ears, hands, head. It is winter time now, only to remember. So after I asked him many times to stop doing that (he thought I was|kidding and that we were friends)i have just decided to take my bag and come back to the hotel like midnight even if he hasn’t helped me. He came back with me but he couldn’t hide that he was more worried to recover the camel. He let me in a room with no key. I am the only guest in this place. Imagine if I can sleep. I am so afraid even to go on with this trip alone. Even if I could sleep, the bed (is like a table or some sand compressed) the pillows and the blanket are the worse I have ever seen in my life. I tried to find the police phone number in case I need but i don’t know if I can trust them anyway. It seems that Mohamed can’t do such a thing (you know what i mean...)but I don’t know him. Anyway, he was not professional and he talked about relationships between woman and man here, like he wanted to suck a woman chest and he couldn’t do this to a Moroccan woman and many men here prefer to marry to foreigners. He said that the woman came here to marry Moroccan man and I told him that this was not my case. And I asked back why and he told me that i know why the foreigners women want to marry Moroccan men. So I just want to be free of this nightmare and come back safe to my country in a few days. I suffered another harrsment in a group tour in Africa (the driver of the company Nomad Tours) and I decided now (that I remembered this) that I will open my mouth out aload. It is 5.24 am. I am almost there. I know many of you will judge me, specially the macho man but I will tell you. I travel alone a lot and normally i do a lot of researches. I saw so many good reviews about this place here in TripAdvisor and in Expedia that I didn’t thing that this kind of thing happen to me. I have been to almost 80 countries so far and i had only few problems but I will try not to save so much money next time. I am going to Tinghir with Supratours and I wish I could take a good rest there and forget everything that I passed here. Even the word “I am so sorry” I haven’t heard from him. I put my things in the front door trying to fix it. These are the only pictures that I have from Merzouga and I will delete it as soon as possible. I only want to prove that I am here. Maybe he will appear here (I don’t know if he really cares) and say nonsense about me but you trust it or not. It...

Read moreIf you are from the western world, this place might not meet your standards. During my trip I traveled all the way around Morocco and this place is the most peaceful, quiet place that I stayed. ||The room I booked had a bathroom, though there was also a shared bathroom just across the hall. Yes, there was no heating, there was minimal furniture and the bathroom was sparce, there were no towels or toilet paper, but this was culturally consistent in the other places I stayed at while in Morocco. I was unaware that they had wifi or meals, so I cannot comment on those.||The man who runs the auberge is very nice. My companion ended up getting ill while we were staying there, and the owner drove me to a pharmacy in the next town and procured medicine for me. He checked on us a few times to see how my companion was doing.||If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to rest that is very close to the Sahara, I recommend you stay here. It is within walking distance of several shops and places to eat, as well...
