Good hotel, great service from staff. Rooms might not be the most updated, but the price is not to bad. The pool area is really nice.

We were assured that this was a 4 star hotel. We arrived to find that our tiny room was dark. When I tried to open the shutters behind the windows, they were blocked by screening to deter pigeons roosting. So no natural light or fresh air, The first time I used the toilet the lid and seat came off in my hands. All of the cushions on the bed had split seams. The fan in the AC was so loud that there was no way anyone could sleep in that room. The screws in the door latch were loose and stripped, and the latch was just holding on. We asked to change rooms. The second room was dirty, it was obvious that the rugs had not been vacuumed in a while. There were shoes left by a previous guest, who knows how long ago, but missed by the cleaning staff. In the bathroom, there were only two small packets of shampoo, no soap, body wash, or conditioner. When I stepped out of bed, I stepped on a needle . Someone had pushed a sewing needle through the bottom of the rug so that it stood straight up. The walls were scuffed, and the paint job in the bathroom certainly needed a repaint. We could not get WIFI and the front desk clerk told me it was because we used Apple devices. Really? One high point was dinner. While it was a set menu, it was quite good. Breakfast was another matter. A few salad options, olives, and stale pasteries. When we checked out and explained our displeasure, he mumbled something unintelligible, and went back to...
