My stay here was in early 2017.||||OK so I get this is rated as a 2 star hotel, but whatever the star rating is there are some basic fundamentals of hotels. Be clean as you can and these days, provide internet connectivity wherever you can in your hotel (I am not talking about the intermittent service provider connection here).||||Firstly the bathroom was terrible. Again I get this was a two star hotel, but that should not prevent the staff from making this as clean as they can. If I had 20 minutes and some cleaning materials I could have had the bathroom in much better shape than it was. Ever heard of tile and chrome cleaner? A tip for the staff.... it helps clean things and prevents build up of dirty surfaces.||||Wifi connectivity in the room I was in did not exist. It looked like they had a Wifi hotspot in the hall, but when I asked them for the password they only said it worked in the lobby. Really?????? In today's world if you are going to provide WiFi do it all for nothing. Again this is not to be confused with the general intermittent issues we've all experienced in Myanmar. This is simply not wiring up the entire hotel with service.||||Breakfast was "Meh" at the very best. They pre-cooked a bunch of eggs and left them on a plate under a basket. Great for keeping the flies off, but if you show up 45 minutes after the eggs have been cooked they are colder than an iceberg in Iceland. Personally I don't really care about the breakfast bit, but if you're going to do something do it right.||||I am not dissing them because it was a two star hotel. I am dissing them because when you can do the simple things, but you choose not to, then you deserve a bad review.||||This was arguably the worst value for money hotel I've...
Read moreThe good stuff: The staff are the star of this hotel. They are hard working and honest, never tried to overcharge us once for any of the services that we requested (taxi, e-bike, etc... Avoid the e-bike service named Tun a few houses from the hotel, he will try to cheat you). The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has a bathtub and actually has shower curtains.||||The OK: Cleanliness could be better but we are talking about Bagan here, it is dusty everywhere and it is hard to keep a room spic-n-span. The breakfast does not have much choice but the quality is fine.||||The bad: the hotel is located in on one of the busiest street in Nyaung-U so you should expect some noise and it only calmed down around 11PM or so. There seems to be a plumbing issues so some holes on the ceiling out in hall but it seems that they have found the leak so hopefully in a few weeks that problem would be solved. The hot water pressure is not constant (we find that this is a problem with most hotels in Myanmar...
Read morePoor Services : My sister was already booked and stayed at hotel before we landed at Nyaung-Oo Airport from Yangon International Airport. My sister picked us up at the airport and drove back to hotel. Me and my family walked into the lobby and no one ask us for getting a room and no one ever said a word "Welcome!" The doorman or room-services staff just carried our luggage to the upstairs without speaking like "Follow me, i'll show the way to your room.". There my first impression was down.||Bad Breakfast : The next morning, i went to the roof for the breakfast and the were only 6 kinds of foods, 2 kinds of fruit and one kinds of dessert which has...
