This hotel is superb! Their airport transfer service is a reasonable price and it’s around 30 mins in normal traffic. I arrived very early but the welcome I got from reception was brilliant. Checking in wasn’t the fastest but I was made to feel at home. Once entering you need to take a lift to the main lobby, but the staff from the door upwards were great. All the communal areas were impressive and had decent artwork making for a wonderful first impression. My Deluxe Room on the 10th floor was very impressive; a staff member helped with luggage and gave a good overview of the facilities. The floor to ceiling window stretched the entire width of the room with brilliant views. It was a modern room and was spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed was large and very comfortable, with a great duvet and pillows. There was a separate sofa and coffee table. The desk adjacent to the widow was large with a comfortable office chair and dedicated light - every type of stationary had been provided, including paper clips, stapler and scissors, demonstrating the eye for detail which was present everywhere. The TV was large and didn’t have any annoying interface; BBC World Service was the UK option. There was lots of storage for luggage and bedside tables at both sides of the bed. Air-con worked well and the wardrobe was complete with gowns, slippers, digital safe and ironing facilities. Electric sockets were at both sides of the bed plus a range of lighting options - reading lights, night light, spotlights and standard lighting, controllable from both sides of the bed. The window blinds were automatic and could be lowered or raised from the bedside controls. The mini bar was well stocked and there was standard tea / coffee available with a kettle. Plenty of bottles of complimentary water were provided each day. The hotel directory outlined all the services and facilities well and housekeeping were great - proactively returning if the ‘do not disturb’ light had been illuminated, and continuing to complete turndown service late into the evening (although it was a shame no ‘sweet treat’ was ever left!). The bathroom was also spacious. There’s a massive illuminated vanity mirror as well as a separate magnified one, plenty of space around the sink and a large bath with side mounted tap. All amenities were present and plenty of soft towels. The shower was in it’s own wet room and was incredible - a large area tiled beautifully with bench, nice shelf for toiletries and a handheld unit as well as massive rainforest head. Glass walls separated the bathroom from the main bedroom area meaning you could still watch the TV and admire the fantastic view. The section could be made private though by lowering the automatic blinds. The outdoor pool area had lots of seating amongst trees and the pool was surrounded with both seats and loungers. Quiet music was piped throughout the area and the bar had stools and was well stocked. The whole area was relaxing with plenty of nice towels available. The staff perhaps could have been a bit more proactive at times offering food and drink, but otherwise they were happy and helpful. The buffet in the main restaurant is brilliant. The dining area is really large meaning that even when full it wouldn’t feel cramped. It’s also light and modern with good views. There was so much choice for self-service food as well as being a number of stations where hot dishes were prepared to order, including noodles, lobster curries etc. Food ordered here was brought to the tables saving you having to stand around. Wine was served with an ice bucket and my glass was kept topped up throughout the stay. The price was really reasonable! The bar is equally as good with plenty of seating indoors and an outdoor terrace, with views over the church and pagoda. Between 5-8 they offer a ‘happy hour’ giving 241 on beers and the food menu is extensive, offering full sized meals as well as snacks. Drink orders are served with nuts as well as rice crisps.

Pan Pacific Yangon – Modern Luxury with a Touch of Restraint Pan Pacific is one of the most upscale hotels in Myanmar, offering a refined blend of modern comfort and understated elegance. At around $70 per night, it leans toward the pricier side, but what you get in return is a carefully curated experience — one that balances convenience, design, and location with remarkable poise. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with stylish furnishings and thoughtful layouts. The views — whether of the city skyline or distant golden pagodas — are quietly breathtaking, especially at sunrise or after dusk. The bathrooms are a highlight, featuring modern fixtures and even a seat for showering, a small but thoughtful luxury that adds to the overall sense of calm. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Junction City Mall is just a short walk away, making it easy to grab a coffee, catch a movie, or enjoy some shopping without straying far. The hotel itself feels fresh and recently built, with clean lines and elegant decor that never feel overdone. However, there are certain restrictions that guests should be aware of. Bringing someone to stay overnight isn’t always allowed freely — you may be stopped at the entrance, and the hotel typically requires valid legal ID for all guests. This reflects the hotel’s strict adherence to security and policy, but can be a minor inconvenience for some. Aside from the slightly higher price tag and guest policy, everything else about Pan Pacific is smooth and satisfying. If you’re looking for a clean, modern, and peaceful base in the heart of Yangon, it’s a solid choice — one that offers both comfort and calm in a city that never quite sleeps.

Sense of place: This hotel has a great location with an unobstructed view to the golden Shwe Dagon pagoda. The design is awesome with extreme high ceilings in the reception, restaurants and bar which allow stunning views from anywhere you choose to sit. Open timber lattice structures suspended from the high ceiling create 2 negative silhouettes of Buddha which are further enhanced by clever lighting. A beautiful woven rope basket sculpture sits proudly at the junction of the lifts, reception and restaurants while suspended lamps and more timber and golden lattice treatments fill some of the vast vertical spaces. The furnishings here are quality, comfortable and generous fitting well with the overall feel of the hotel. Although only opened a few months before my visit, the staff were exceptional, going beyond expectations. The pool and wellness spa were in keeping with the established high standards providing ample comfortable wicker lounges and chairs, large plush towels in a garden setting alongside the negative edge pool taking advantage of the stunning cityscape as a back drop. The rooms are well designed and fitted but in need of some tuning to ensure all the clever features are operational, phones, lighting and plumbing were problematic when I stayed. I am sure all the room bugs will be resolved in time. I will return for certain and highly recommend a visit to experience this unique property with a perfect sense of place.

Is it Worth staying at PAN PACIFIC Yangon ? I am a frequent business traveler for 20 years now. Stayed in many 5-star hotels worldwide and I am supposed to be a very demanding guest. I stayed 5 nights in Pan Pacific in Feb. 2020 for a business meeting. PAN PACIFIC looks new with a modern style. The Hotel is 10 minutes walk from downtown (Chinatown, 19th street, street bars, ...) with a next door Junction Mall for grocery shopping (3rd floor) or for cheap meals and drinks at the food court (5th floor). Easy to catch a cab in front of the Hotel or the Mall to drive you anywhere in the city. The room was spacious, quiet, and very clean with very comfortable bed. Great sleeping every night before to join my morning meeting. It is a pleasure to wakeup and join the restaurant to enjoy a great city scenery with fresh croissants and fresh fruits. The breakfast buffet is delicious with tens of western and asian meals. I really recommend the freshly squeezed fruit juices. From the checkin to the checkout, everything was perfect and of a very high standard. It has been flawless and amazing. Warmly greeted upon arrival, service beyond compare, hospitality and kindness unmatched, beautiful smiles and greetings and taken care off as if I was the only guest... BUT the best thing about PAN PACIFIC is its staff - they are very nice, attentive and professional. Special thanks to Mr. SHAFIN for his great concierge service and his useful city recommendations. It was a pleasure to discuss with you after my meetings to learn about Yangon nightlife. Thank you to Mrs EI EITHET for her morning smiles and great room service. My room was always mint after your visit. Thank you to Mrs KAUNG MYINT MYATI for her gentle restaurant service. And a big thanks to the pool and fitness gym staff. Amazing facilities to enjoy as much as possible. I was visiting PAN PACIFIC for the first time with little expectation, and I was finally really impressed by the Hotel setup, the management and the service staff . My experience at PAN PACIFIC urged me to write a review. PAN PACIFIC is unbeatable for business travelers or families. The best hotel in Yangon. Excellent in both service and location. I will recommend family and friends to stay in this hotel. Thanks again to the lovely and professional staff. You...

I am tempted to give two starts instead of one because we spent one night and it was a good experience, we then flew to Bagan for a couple nights and then came back for two more nights because the service was good for the first night. I booked through the same website both times (the first night then the two additional nights). The first night our room included breakfast. For some reason the second booking didn’t include breakfast. And while I readily admit that that would be my fault for assuming the same booking site would be offering me the same deal, when I checked in I was told my second stay didn’t include breakfast. This isn’t really a big deal, but when I stated my surprise and disappointment that the conditions were different for the same price, the person who I was dealing with who also happened to be the manager (unbelievably), laughed at me condescendingly (really) and then after laughing at me, offered me one single person’s breakfast even though there are two of us, and we are here for two nights. It felt insulting, the laugh and the one breakfast. Like, I just didn’t feel like a valued, return customer. I am a manager at my workplace, which is much smaller than Pan Pacific Hotels, and if I had a customer who was visibly disappointed and it was within my capabilities to make them a happy satisfied customer for a couple of breakfasts at a massive buffet that feeds hundreds, I would do that to ensure that they were happy. She is not obligated to do that, of course, I’m not saying I’m entitled to a free breakfast. What I wouldn’t do is laugh at them and then insultingly offer one of the two people a free breakfast, asking the other to pay, insuring they would be unhappy. It’s just bad service. Then she tried to give me her business card so that the next time I come I can email her and she will give me a special rate on breakfast. Seriously? The next time? Sorry. Not going to be a next time. If I was treated like that on the first occasion I wouldn’t be in this room right now. I can’t think of a hotel, let alone one that I’ve paid around $200 a night, where the manager would openly laugh at me to my face and be dismissive of my disappointment. $600 I wish I gave to a different hotel that would respect and value me...
