OYO 557 Hotel Pujan — Hotel in Birgunj

We were fortunate 🔮 to find this excellent hotel in Birgunj, after a long drive all the way from Lucknow and via the Raxaul border 🛃 crossing from Bihar!

Good customer service, polite staff, nice & comfortable rooms. Perfect air conditioning, clean bathrooms, high quality linen made our stay very 😌 comfortable. There was also a nice balcony overlooking Birgunj.

It was late in the evening and the restaurant was closing at 10. They asked us to sit in the bar that is open all through the night! It was noisy and some customers were smoking 💨 hookah which made us a bit uncomfortable. But that was compensated by (well, almost) excellent made in Nepal 🍺Budweiser!

Food is mostly Indian or continental. We stayed here again after 2 days and then tried the local delicacy of chicken shikwa, upon recommendation by the manager.

Staffs were friendly. I have eaten Nepali mutton thali in the evening and chicken sandwich as breakfast in the morning. Mutton was quite spicy and the dinner was not quite tasty compared to it's price. Sandwich was heavily stuffed with mayonnaise. I have given room at old building, so the room was just okay. AC was not performing very well and toilet looks older. Mattress without removing the plastic cover was making the bed quite uncomfortable. One of the best hotel in birgunj. My stay at the hotel was truly exceptional. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the necessary amenities.
