United Business Hotel — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

Terrible experience... the hotel and room are nice, quite modern for Nepali standard... I arrived at 08:30 after 14 days of trekking, tired and dirty :)... my room wasn’t available due to the early check in, not a big deal they give me another temporary room (that was actually nice).. no hot water in the room, no big deal cause the temperature out was warm, I had my shower.. I advise the reception about the inefficient and they told they were fixing it... coming back at 17:00 same problem, they told me stanby... after 2 hours and many calls no updates so I ask to change room and get one with hot shower... no answer... at 20:00 I went to reception again and they told me that a new room was under cleaning (30 minutes), I went out for dinner, and at 21:30 coming back I was tell hot water was available now... not true.... I got back reception asking for a new room and finally they admitted that all hotel was without hot water.. at that time I request to talk with a manager and (by phone) he offered me a bucket of hot water for shower, I was so shocked that I just went bed... next day I decided for a early check out and I got another hotel in thamel. They have no excuses, at least they had to advise client that they have problem with hot water (check the many reviews in many websites), my only fault was to trust pictures and price from the website.. READ CAREFULLY ALL REVIEWS, I highly NOT recommend...

I stayed for 5 days. Located inside United Business Mall. Average. Room is good. Lift is bit slow and small. Hotel room and bathroom are good and cleaning services are good. They didn’t had hot water as advertised and I informed them and promised to fix it and they didn’t do it and it was terrible since Nepal has cold weather. WiFi is very slow in room and They ask to come to reception to have speed connection. Said they will fix wifi but didn’t happen. Restaurant in top floor is good. Manager and staff are very friendly. Food is tasty and worth. If they fix above i think i can stay again. Taxi available but road get crowded in evening and morning. About 30min -1hour from Airport depends on traffic. First of all don't let the photos fool you. Hotel located on the third floor of a run down mall. Reception staff were friendly, however no info on available facilities or breakfast... only when I asked. Breakfast is at a pizza restaurant in the mall, went for breakfast and could only choose pancakes as the did not have bread. Walked into the room, switched on the light which blew with lots of smoke. Got shifted to a other room, bit smelly... okay size, but bathroom horrible, no hot water. We're told to wait as the reception went to the roof to check, then was told to run the water for 10-15 min for it to get hot. Booked for 4 nights, however I left the next day as I was not feeling comfortable...
