Fun Land — Attraction in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding my recent visit to Fun Land, which has left me thoroughly dissatisfied with the overall experience.

On [2023/06/29], I visited Fun Land with the expectation of enjoying a fun-filled day as advertised. However, I was met with several disappointments and encountered a number of issues during my visit. Firstly, I noticed that many of the machines, particularly the punching mechanic and hummer hitting games, were in a state of severe disrepair. The machines were either malfunctioning or visibly damaged, rendering them unfit for use.

The punching mechanic machine, which I was eagerly looking forward to, had broken buttons and unresponsive controls. It was not only frustrating but also posed a safety hazard to users who were attempting to operate it. The hummer hitting game suffered from similar issues, with the hammer not functioning properly and frequently getting stuck.

Moreover, I was extremely disappointed to discover that the activities at Fun Land were primarily designed for children under 14 years old. As a teenage visitor, I felt out of place and deprived of suitable entertainment options. The lack of age-appropriate activities left me feeling marginalized and excluded from the fun that Fun Land claims to offer.

I believe it is imperative for Fun Land to ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of all its machines and attractions. Customers should be able to enjoy their visit without encountering defective equipment that compromises their safety and overall experience. Furthermore, it is essential to cater to the interests and preferences of all age groups, including teenagers, to promote inclusivity and ensure a positive experience for every visitor.

In light of these issues, I kindly request that Fun Land takes immediate action to address the concerns raised. Specifically, I ask that you:

Repair or replace the damaged machines, particularly the punching mechanic and hummer hitting games, ensuring they are fully functional and safe for use. Consider expanding the range of activities and attractions to cater to the interests of teenagers, in addition to the existing offerings for younger children. Implement regular maintenance schedules to prevent future instances of machines falling into disrepair and ensure a consistently enjoyable experience for all visitors.

I have always held Fun Land in high regard and have previously had positive experiences at your establishment. Therefore, I sincerely hope that my concerns are taken seriously, and appropriate measures are undertaken to rectify the current situation. I believe that Fun Land has the potential to be a wonderful place for visitors of all ages, and I trust that you will make the necessary improvements.

If you are bored of going to same places over and over, Funland located at Bhadrakali is the place you are looking for. You can indulge in fun activities and also enjoy really good food here at Funland. This place has something for all the age group from adults to teenagers to kids and the best part is, it is also disabled friendly. This place is accessible by all and the staff here are very helpful and friendly. Funland has ice skate, Wall climbing, Trampoline, Bull riding, Ninja raining and Toddlers zone all under one roof. The activites here come in packages of Basic, Ice skating, Mazza and Extreme which costs Rs.1000/- ,Rs.1000/- , Rs. 2000/- and Rs.3000/- per person respectively. Basic package includes Rock climbing, Ninja training, Trampoline and Toddler for unlimited time and Ice skating is for 40 minutes. Mazza package includes Ice skating for one hour, Bull riding 2 shot and unlimited Rock climbing, Trampoline, Ninja training and Toddler zone. Extreme package includes 2 hour 30 minutes of Ice skating, 3 shots bull riding and unlimited Rock climbing, Trampoline, Ninja training and Toddler zone. After a fun day, you can also enjoy the tasty meal here. They serve Burger, Crispy chicken, Momo, Pizza,Fries, Coffee and wide variety of icecream and soft drinks. Salami pizza (Rs. 750/-) tastes amazing and Chicken momo is very juicy and comes with a good portion of filling. The vegetarian option in pizza and momo was equally good. All in all, Funland is the best place to spend an amazing day with your friends and family along with fun activities...

They need to take care of sanitation and hygeine. No toilet paper in the restroom. No hand towel either. Hand dryer was not working. Glad they had hand-wash and running water. I was disappointed facilities like this in the heart of Kathmandu is operating like this. Who is responsible for public health monitoring? Kathmandu महानगर?

On ethical grounds, they charge NRs 50 for a bottle of water which normally costs NRs 20 in the Kathmandu Valley. I saw a Swostika sign written on their facility which doesn't reconcile with their business practice. In a place where parents pay a good some of entrance fee to brung their kids, they they are expected to pay premium for drinking water. This is not a casino or pub where it's normally OK to add a service charge. I didn't care their over priced western style fast food but hope they consider to bring down the price of water. Kids play hours in their facilities and it can damage their health if they don't get hydrated.

Staff look are overworked. They either too busy or not well trained to communicate safety measures with kids.

One final thing which is perhaps beyond their control but it can still come under CSR. This facility is located beside a creek which is too stinky. I don't know if they can work to address this problem. Visitors please please...
