A MUST. We loved this hotel. If you are looking for a place that breathes harmony and kindness -- this must be your destination.|The hotel is beautiful. Not fancy -- but stunning in design that is modern and clean and masterfully optimizes the Annapurna range views. In fact, sunrise coffee and cookies are served on the lookout viewtop every morning. But the truth is that each room is designed to optimally bring the beauty into your spacious, extremely well-appointed room. The Closet is a full dressing room. The sitting area that can couple as beds is wonderful as is the patio -- all overlooking the incredible view.|We slept like royalty in the luxuriously appointed beds. |The staff was just incredible. Golf cart rides to the gondola which whisks you down to Pokhara are ready at any time. They offer to take you where you need to go to maximize your stay.|We had massages that they arranged in our room, and can provide all kinds of spa treatments in conjunction with the local experts. My husband and I enjoyed a billiards "championship" on their beautiful pool tables (2)|I can't rave highly enough about the cuisine! Absolutely delicious! The chef will cater to your needs and what is produced is beyond delicious exquisite and ample. As well as the seating in the two dining rooms. One is for the breakfast (included) and another dining room for dinner. Also, they set up fresh white linen covered tables outside for breakfast, lunch and dinner according to the weather -- we were able to fully enjoy the al fresco dining while gazing at the Annapurna.|We loved that there were only three floors and the expanse of the hotel made it feel not at all crowded --ever -- and always attention to every detail with a smile.|The security is quiet but ever present. The hotel is located at the very top of the mountain and you know you are in safe hands as their system and security officers and even the ability to enter into the driveway heading up to the hotel is carefully managed.|If you will be traveling anywhere near Pokhara, this is a must stay! And if you are looking to plan a trip -- go here! The perfect place before or after a trek (we had just completed a 5-day trek in the Annapurna). And so well priced! |We cannot wait...
Read moreMy partner (who is a wheelchair user) and I stayed for three nights at Hotel Annapurna View in late July/early August (off-season). We also went to its coffee shop and restaurant while not staying there as the view was breath-taking and food were good. This review would be more beneficial for people with special needs as well as elder. The Hotel is located in Sarangkot (hilly area around Pokhara) with a stunning view of Annapurna range. We had a chance to see the range for a moment as we have been there in a cloudy/rainy season. Less chance! Referring to bookingdotcom, it is mentioned that the hotel has “facilities for disabled guests”, “lower bathroom sink”, “toilet with grab rails”. As far as we saw it did not have these facilities as mentioned. However, upper floors were accessible by elevator and for going to the front garden we got help. The restaurant was accessible (had ramp) from the back side. The hotel front door also had a ramp. Staffs were super friendly and caring. Mr. Bishnu and his team were very professional, welcoming, helpful, polite, and caring. They make sure you as a guest feel comfortable and enjoy your time in Hotel Annapurna View. The bathroom had a bathtub (with a window). It was well-designed, but the door was not wide enough for wheelchair and was not accessible, that is there were not any handles. As the wheelchair could not go through the bathroom’s frame door, the manger took the door for us to make it work for wheelchair. The room was bright, clean and very spacious, in that the wheelchair could be parked next to bed. Room service and restaurant was very good and punctual. The staff in the restaurant were very nice and polite. We really enjoyed delicious food with great design. The hotel had a view terrace (accessible with stairs) which you can watch Annapurna range in one side and Pokhara lakeside on the other side. Very beautiful! Generally, staying in Hotel Annapurna View made a great memory for us in Nepal. I would highly recommend staying and...
Read moreDuring my stay, I encountered significant challenges, particularly in dealing with an individual named Pawan. It became apparent that Pawan held a key role, possibly directly connected to the hotel's owner. The issue arose due to the Indian government's restriction on international card transactions to Nepal and Bhutan. Despite my willingness to settle the payment for the Suite room I had booked, Pawan's handling of the situation was less than satisfactory.
When I tried to check out, my card didn't work, making settling the payment complicated. The hotel's payment link didn't work, and the same link, requested by a friend in the US, failed with the same security concerns. Additionally, trying to arrange payment through Western Union faced obstacles because Pawan insisted that I personally go to Western Union to collect the amount, despite being a foreigner.
I managed to pay the amount from US transaction, but still Pawan remained inflexible, insisting on a rigid process and expressing that he would not permit my check-out until he received a credit message confirming payment. Despite providing transaction details and confirmation numbers, Pawan was uncooperative and insisted that I handle the situation personally.
After persistent efforts and negotiation, I managed to convince Pawan to contact the local bank with the confirmation number. Finally, after the bank confirmed the transaction, I was allowed to check out. The entire experience was needlessly complicated, and Pawan's approach towards accommodating a foreign guest left much to be desired, causing frustration and inconvenience...
