Himalayan Tea House Viewpoint and Camping — Restaurant in Pokhara

My partner and I found this place on google, and after visiting the Sarangkot view point for sunrise decided to visit for an early morning tea. We are SO glad we did. The setting was so peaceful, especially in the early morning. We were surrounded by flowers, chickens scratching about for feed, morning birds and a warm sunrise glow across the hills and on the mountains visible from the tea house hut. What was even more glowing was the service by the young man running this establishment with his mother. He was exceptionally warm, hospitable and kind and we enjoyed a nice chat with him before having our tea. The black tea served was also the BEST I’ve had in Nepal to date, and for a ridiculously cheap price. Our experience here was a wholesome slice of Nepal, and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting an authentic taste of Nepali life. A beautiful small garden/ tea house with stunning views over Annapurna and Pokhara. If you want to see the sunrise and avoid the morning crowd, this is the place to go to!

The owner (Milan) sells some hot and cold beverages as well as some food (noodles, toast and omelets) and snacks prepared by his mother. He is a great host and takes amazing pictures.

Hidden gem to see the Annapurna Himalayas from Sarangkot. A local family and a man called Milan allow guests to view the gorgeous mountains from their grounds, allowing for a surreal Marsian panaroma landscape during the 5:30AM sunrise.
