This was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Nepal so far.
We got the Deluxe room on the top floor for an extremely reasonable price (same price would get you a cheap motel in the US, but not here!). We could see mountains from our room and an entire view of the city, and if you walked to the other side of the balcony, more mountains!
The food at the restaurant was a little on the high end, but still very affordable and the taste was phenomenal.
If you want to go to the Panchamukhi, there are steps just at the road that takes you down to the hotel. Note that this is 100% worth it to visit, but those with mobility issues might find it difficult to walk down the short but steep path to the hotel.
The staff were so kind and helpful. One small piece of feedback I have is that while I appreciate the security measures of the gate at the front and the garage cover for the front door, we made quite a ruckus trying to get out early to get to the sunrise while opening that door 😂 it would be worth having guests tell the staff if they need help getting that door open in the morning so someone can assist you. sorry if we caused anyone to panic while we were trying to leave quietly 😂
If I come back to Pokhara, I plan to stay here for longer, as one night was simply not enough for this calming and spectacular...
Read moreMoti and his family have arguably one of the most scenic locations in Sarangkot. This hidden gem is purchased on the crest with uninterrupted views of the lake, river, Peace Pagoda, and the many paragliding takeoff and landing points. Sarangkot Panoramic View Guest House is located down a short walk opposite the walk up to the sunset viewing point. Imagine waking to the morning sun filling your room, then sitting on the large terraced area watching maybe 30+ brightly colored para-gliders gliding gracefully past. They are close enough to hear the excited tourists delighting by the hawks which accompany some para-gliders, guiding their owners to the most powerful thermals. Watch them ascend almost out of sight, which looks maybe 1000 meters above the lake. The Sarangkot zip line is 1800 meters long and drops over 600 meters to the valley below. This amazing zipline is walking distance from the Sarangkot Panoramic View Guest which offers a perfect location with spectacular views as well as being within walking distance of several tourist attractions. A must...
Read moreMy wife, 1 year old son and myself stayed here for 2 nights. The hill offers spectacular view of Machupuchare, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal mountain ranges. ||The weather was cloudy during our visit and due to this factor, no hot water because it's dependent on solar. Nevertheless, Mr Budhi provided us with hot water to wipe our baby. The unavailability of hot water was reasonably compensated by the fireplace in the common area to warm up. ||On the second day, my wife developed diarrhoea and needed to frequent many times to the toilet. To our disappointment, the water supply stopped because there was no electricity to pump the water up. We resorted to use bottled water for the clean up! ||Any hotel or guesthouse should have a backup generator to ensure the basic necessities of the clients are taken care in case of emergency, especially when the hotel rate is like any other mid range hotel in Pokhara. ||I would recommend this hotel if the weather is good and the electricity supply...
