This place is a must, trust me. Here's our story:||Super easy reservation: I reached out to the whatsapp number listed about one month prior to our visit and directly coordinated with the hotel without going thru any agency. He gave me a price which was not beatable (obviously dealing directly with the hotel). Then two days prior, I had to make a change for our dates, and it was well received and simple; non-issue. ||Arrival: we decided to fly from KTM to Chitwan. We chose not to be on a bus for 7-10 hours... upon arrival at the airport, even after a 90-min delay, the taxi was waiting for us. Upon arrival at the hotel, super welcoming and check in instructions provided. Simple.||Hotel: nothing fancy, nothing crazy. But the AC works very well and you're not going to be in your room much, so doesn't matter. In fact, this hotel is far better than the ones in the area, and we were super happy with the choice.||Safari: this is the most important portion of the review. Tour guides make or break your experience. The hotel has 2 tour guides, and both are great. And our guide Babu was exceptional, and he made our trip!!! We are extremely grateful. From Day 1, Babu took time to observe all the birds, explaining so well for us. Even from Day 1, he set himself apart from all the other tour guides from the other hotels; while they were rushing through, Babu didn't rush. Day 2 was pretty long, full of adventures for sure though. Even though it was a long day, Babu never lost his energy and ensured to guide us with knowledge and humor; and that helped us enjoy the tour so much. Day 3 is basically a close out day with a few options, if desired. We chose one option, and even then, Babu coordinated everything for us until the end. ||Let me tell you a few things about Babu that we observed. He genuinely enjoys his job. He's a great photographer; he has no problem taking photos of you or for you! He has about 20 eyes on his head; I don't know how, but the guy sees the tiniest bird from 5km away and lets you know. And lastly, "one more bottle." If he's your guide, you'll know what I mean.||Thanks for the great...

Read moreOne of the best places in Sauraha to stay. The food is great, the room is nice and this place also has a swimming pool where you can cool down in the hot summer. They even provide safari services (Jeep Safari or Elephant Safari). The jeep safari is a bit longer than the elephant ride and takes you into the deep areas of jungle. You can observe wild bears and tiger if you are really lucky. Else you can sight rhinos and deer. Be ready with your camera. The elephant safari needs a group of 4 people. It's better to form a group earlier or search for other people in the place. The safari takes about 1.5-2 hours. And has a designated path in the jungle. Going in the morning or evening is better as it's too hot at noon. They also provide canoeing services where a group of about 14 people are assigned in a canoe and then we go off in the Rapti river besides the jungle area from where we can observe wild species of birds and crocodiles. If you are planning to go canoeing then it's better to reach the place early as the number of canoe is limited and the wait time can reach up to 1 hour and 20 minutes. so it's better to be there early. After canoeing, they provide a guide for a group or person. Then there will be a small hike in the forest area where we can observe the birds and if you are lucky enough you can sight rhinos and deer grazing in the forest. It's better to carry a bottle of water and take some mosquito repellent with you. There are also species of plants and trees which will be identified by the tour guide. You can ask any...
