Staying here was one of the top experiences during my four months visit in Nepal.||||While being in jungle, the guides were professional. Indeed, they are crazy for tigers (crazy!), and other big animals, but at the same time into the entire rich ecology of Bardia. At the begining of my stay I stated I'm interested in birds. From then on they were spotting and explaining about different owls, owlets, eagles, king-fishers, hornbills, pigeons, drongos, oriols, and many others (and I had the impression that it excites them as much as it excited me). I did jungle walkings, jeep safaries and camping - all were good and worth doing.||Regarding safety, I felt that the guides are ambitious but responsible, and know when to dare and when to back off.||||Generally speaking, the staff is in deep connection with nature - when otters appeared in the river section by the hotel, everyone went out to watch them, and in one morning the owner was telling about a leoperd that hunted a young pig in one of the neighbor houses.||||The atmosphere in the resort is good.||First, garden is beautiful!||Each day ends by the fire, drinking and sharing stories about the day or whatever. Twice guests introduced their own food at dinner, and staff got the needed groceries and helped cooking. It seemed to me that whatever need or a wish one of the guests had (special food, birthday party, atm, going to a specific lake etc), the owners regarded it as it was at least a wish of their own, and with a lovely and honest way. They are very experienced and humble, and whenever I consulted with them it was helpful.||||My room was convenient and pleasant. Regarding food, I mostly ate Dal Bhat, which was really really tasty (and slightly...
Read moreWe went for a school trip and got a room which had a gate of moths. There were three large lizards, a hole in the roof along with hundreds of crickets and other insects. When we asked to change the room, the manager tried to convince us saying that it was common to have bugs in the room. He was not too polite. After a lot of argument, he finally agreed to change. The other room took like 2 minutes of walking from the main area and it was stinky but much better. Atleast there were no insects. He could have taken us there at the beginning but he chose the worst room for us while the teachers and female students stayed in a room with AC just because it was near. This is the worst place i have ever been to. This thing doesn't deserve even 1 star. It doesn't even deserve to be called a resort. And the food is bad as well. DON'T GO to this place and if you go, DONOT eat the kheer. Its so bad that neither the students nor the teachers could eat it 🤢🤢. We were treated that way because we were just 'kids'. This is what we experienced and he might treat you guys differently. But just be careful as one bad experience can ruin...
