Hotel Kuiperduin — Hotel in Rotterdam

We were scheduled to take the Stena Line from Hook of Holland on 2 January 2019, but unfortunately, my dog had not been given his tape worm pill in time and we were unable to board the ferry that night. We reschedule the ferry for the 2:00 pm sailing the next day, but were left in an unfamiliar area, at 7:00pm, looking for last minute lodgings with a dog. The wonderful woman at the ticket counter saw my distress and made a call. Within 15 minutes the owner of the Hotel Kuiperduin came and personally picked us up. He gave us a clean room with an en suite and a comfortable bed. There was even a yard for our dog to run around in. He knew that our ferry was not until 2:00 pm the next day a told us that while check out was at 10:00 am, we were welcome to stay in the lounge and watch TV or just relax. I stayed here for one night with my dog between landing in Holland and taking the ferry to the UK. The hotel in brilliantly located a few minutes walk from the ferry. ||||As I was checking in very late at night, I organised with the owner a way I could check in and he was very helpful and quick to reply over email. The room itself was lovely, very comfy beds, clean, and lovely high pressure shower. Towels were clean and soft. ||||Breakfast in the morning was more than filling and had plenty of variety. There's a nice garden in the back and the guest lounge was great for waiting in between checking out and taking my ferry.||||I had a lot of luggage with me and the owner helped me arrange transport for taking it to the ferry.||||Cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be staying here agin next time I'm in the...

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would The service was TERRIBLE

To explain, we booked this hotel 5 months in advance for one evening. We had confirmation from the owner that we could leave our luggage there, as we were arriving earlier than checking in time. This was confirmed and agreed.

We arrived at our agreed time, and the place was CLOSED .. No one there. We called the hotel contact number which was posted in the door, but no one answered

We sat out side, 4 bags and a dog, in the bitter cold for over an hour.

This have us no option but to find an alternative hotel and then seek a refund Hotel owner was quick to reply and gave us dismissive response and, surprise, surprise, no refund. This was dispite the hotel failing to even be open

TAKE MY ADVICE....AVOID
