Cafe Harwich — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Tons of Atmosphere and surprisingly good food...

If you've looking for a decent, pub-style meal, and you've got a couple of hours to kill before getting on the ferry, the Harwich is your man. Decorated to the hilt in the traditional style, this place even boasts a couple of old-school billiards tables.

Service is extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, the beer is great, and the quality of the food came as a complete surprise to me.

Classic pub, Brown bar, able to make the most British people feel at home as they just arrived in the Netherlands. Close to the harbor and with very friendly personnel. Very cheap and tasty food with a wide assortiment of biers. I went there when England was playing and it was chaotic with also some not so nice drank men but the staff managed well anyway....

Het was vanmiddag niet warm binnen, dus ik bestelde een thee. Ik ben niet van de smaakjes. Gewone zwarte thee of earl Grey is goed. Helaas waren deze er niet. En ze kon ze ook niet vinden. Dan maar alleen het hete water opdrinken. Bij het afrekenen moest ik gewoon de volle 100 procent betalen. Want….dan had ik maar iets anders moeten bestellen. Maar….ik kan koffie helaas niet verdragen. Het was er echt koud ( we waren met met z’n zessen en iedereen zat met de jas over hun schoot) anders had ik wel een colaatje of iets besteld. En ik was met de auto, dus wijn was ook geen optie. Ik vind het echt BELACHELIJK en ronduit SCHANDALIG dat ik €2.80 moest betalen voor een beetje heet water. Ze hoeven niet bang te zijn dat ik er ooit nog terug kom. En die ster moest ik geven anders wordt dit bericht...
