Yamasaki Hoek van Holland — Restaurant in Rotterdam

when I entered the restaurant I was met by the waitress giving me a look like as if asking "what are you doing here?' which actually made me ask her if it's ok to sit at the restaurant. She kindly let me through, explained how to order and how things work. She said they don't accept card payments apart from (Mastercard in her pronunciation) but actually later I find out it is MAESTRO, said ok. So I ordered my food, and it was all good. But her attitude really put me off. Then I realised that if you don't finish the plate then yo pay extra for that plate and I realised I wasn't warned about that. Then they kept on staring at the plates probably hoping I can't finish. I felt like their policy is like a punishment and force on people to finish the plate like little kids which you're already paying for to charge you more. Nice place, nice food, but the attitude of the waitress was so appalling in the end when I was paying that we almost got into an argument. Bad customer service and bad attitude. Beware of their policies when you go there.

Well, To add up to your response which you have disabled me to reply back. No one has mocked your English, that's your insecurity which you have projected by being rude and abrupt to whom is your customer. Working 5 years somewhere like that would probably have given you some people's skills more than proficiency in a language. You have even failed to show any understanding or kind communication forget about the apology, and you had the guts to say that I have cash anyway no problem. Well, cash or payment or eating loads or less is not, but your attitude was the biggest problem of it all. Hope you treat other people better next...

I had a high expectations due to how busy was, I order my food to go I took my self the notes on the paper as the waitress request, I wrote the numbers and the name of every food that I wanted and written down I was vegan,every single thing that I wroten was marked as vegetarian. I explain the waitress that I am vegan and I can't eat egg, dairy, meat, fish,seafood ect. So please let me know if anything had that. My food was ready and I had to go into the ferry so I pay and left. They swap my avocado sushi for salmon!! What can make the confusion?? I wrote avocado and whatever name that has and the number from the menu and I suspect that another thing I do not render tha name and they give me omelette instead of tofu!! And I was already on the ferry to complain, so I was left with a meal that I didn't order and I couldn't eat. Thank you very much I learn my lesson, never order from you and always check my food...

Love eating here. Love the assortement and the tastes are great. Slight remark is the cutbacks made since my last visit. Every dish has 1 piece less wich isnt all that bad perse. The sushis are smaller than they used to be. And flavour wise i noticed changes in the beef stuff aswell not all for the better. I hope it was just because it was very busy and not the new standard because that would be a waste of a very good restaurant. I hope next time i can correct this review because i will go there again if only to see if the quality changes were circumstantial or permanent wich i...
