The accommodation was not cheap, and the owners were unhelpful. I raised this from the beginning. The room did not include breakfast as the owner said on their reply on my review. The owner has a history of not taking any responsibility for anything. I did not have a bad attitude, in fact, I was looking forward to my stay. The owner s also of the opinion that because I booked the cheapest room, I must be happy with what I get regardless of the fact that this included mosquito bites and a sauna and a smelly toilet. The room was like a sauna; they provided a fan but refused to move us without an additional fee, offering a 50 percent discount on the upgrade which was not the point as we did nothing wrong and should be given a decent room where we do not have to sleep with the window open, next to a raised structure, which is not safe, and be bitten by mosquitoes. . They insisted on a cancellation fee if I went to another hotel for the 2nd night as they were not willing to accommodate me. Many reviews indicate they are not accommodating. Even Booking.com's intervention was unsuccessful. The bathroom had a persistent bad smell, despite reporting it on the first night and them cleaning something, it returned the next day. Upon leaving, they didn't inquire about our stay or show concern for the issues we raised, They concluded by saying we should agree to disagree, implying this hotel and I were not a...
Read moreVery helpfull, accomodating, friendly family owned, old hotel. Located very conveniently for the railways station; for a pleasant stroll through the old town, with its good selection of interesting shops and eateries ....and last but not least the beautiful beach.
The Hotel is sited in a traditional old building which has been a family run hotel for 80 years. We learnt this during a drink in the bar on our second evening. Work is underway to update facilities, which vary a little depending on the room.
We were surprised by some missing details such as tea coffee making facilities in the rooms which would have been very welcome, however it was explained that in older hotels this is not possible.
Apparently not uncommon in older hotels buildings.
My room was absolutely fine with a good size bathroom, while others in the party asked to change rooms because of ackward accessibility which was accommodated by Christine the Manager, very helpfully..
The breakfast was excellent and we left very happy with our overall stay in Zandvoort at the Hotel Keur.
I would definatly recommend the hotel and would happily book...
Read moreThis hotel is not truthful they tried to accuse of damaging the room with no evidence. They accused me to cooking when all i did some Arabic coffee with hot water. Their toilet seat had stains which were there present before my stay and they accused me of causing it. And they tried to take money out of my credit card ( after my stay of two weeks)several times without my knowledge and without informing me which indicates their lack of honesty. And they are not friendly towards their guests. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Amsterdam.
I contacted them after the credit card transactions (which i have prove of) they did not reply so i contacted booking about the incident thinking it was some hackers activity and they apologized profusely about the whole situation. If i damaged something of course i will come by myself and pay for it with an apology even thats how we are! .. unlike u try to charge my card without prior notice or knowledge. Also we respected the rules of the hotel and after ur warning we never made any coffee and i can...
