Bella — Restaurant in Zandvoort

We ate here last week. For the price of the food here I expected it to be significantly better quality. My cannelloni tasted like any ready meal from a supermarket, the calamari was inedible -batter is supposed to be light and crispy but we got the opposite. The waiter was friendly and was prompt with taking our order etc but unfortunately he sat outside adjacent to us chain smoking whilst we ate our meal, as non-smokers I was disgusted by this and it put me off my meal even more! Definitely not somewhere I would recommend eating. On a side note, the door to the women’s toilet needs adjusting as it sticks, if you have the misfortune to visit the toilet whilst in this establishment I suggest going in a pair so there is someone the other side of the door...

On a Monday night in Zandvoort your options a kind of limited, so the place we found was Bella, at first I imagined the place to offer great selection of meat dishes, after all one of their big advertisements is all you can eat ribs. This is not the case at all. We sat down and ordered some drinks and then decided we have some starters. They came out, plates not in great condition. It was ok. The service was friendly, but not very attentive. I had a pasta dish that was absolutely delicious, however my sons rack of ribs were barely warm and were definitely not spicy as per the menu. They were tasty, but I certainly could not have eaten them lukewarm and my son was disappointed that they were not even slightly spicy as per the menu and his order. I was also annoyed that I had been charged €4 euro for a very small bottle of water!
