Maples on Harewood — Hotel in Christchurch

We stayed for 8 nights in the Pool Studio. Maples on Harewood is a great home away from home. It is well connected to the rest of the city by car (maybe by bike?) since you are close to the state highway system. There's places to shop and eat a short drive away (the Cophenhagen Bakery is a good option on Harewood Road). However, it has a relaxed country feel, which is nice at the end of the day. We enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and spa pool. The apartment is well equipped with linen, extra pillows, blankets towels, toiletries etc. The beds and sofas are comfortable. The internet was problem-free and there's a smart TV with Netflix, Neon, You Tube etc. The hosts are helpful and provide breakfast fixings and various snacks (I slipped all the complementary mini-flake chocolate bars to my elderly Mum, who I was visiting at a nearby resthome - she...

Excellent accommodation close to the airport. Our apartments were well appointed, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Sue and Greg were attendant hosts and helped us out on various additional requests. A, more than adequate, welcoming food pack was provided - we particularly enjoyed the homemade rhubarb jam on our morning toast. We had time to fit in an experience somewhere local on the morning of our departure - we enquired with Sue who suggested a visit to the International Antarctic Centre. My husband & I stayed one night in the Laurel Suite. The owners live on the property and they were very welcoming and a joy to visit with. The accommodations at this Bed and Breakfast were absolutely top notch. The bedroom was large with a very comfortable bed and very nice en-suite. There was a good sized living/dining area adjacent to the bedroom and was outfitted with snacks and breakfast items. This property is about 5 minutes from the airport. The owners were the nicest couple and very accommodating. If you need a place to stay in Christchurch this should be at the top...
