Manha is OK for an emergency or quick overnight stay. This has only been open a couple of weeks so for now is very clean and tidy. Unfortunately this hotel has very much has been finished poorly and on the cheap with doors not closing properly and stickers on laminate finishing, paint already scuffing and lots of imperfections during building and finishing process which is a shame. You do not get a microwave in your room (I believe this is essential when staying somewhere) or enough milk or decent quality packet items (tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate all very basic) in your room to make any sort of decent tasting drink. It feels very much like walking into a hospital, there is no artwork or plants or personality. The buffet breakfast that others reviewers (have apparently raved about) lacks the very basics of what would be expected in a buffet breakfast in Aotearoa. No scrambled eggs or bacon and the poached eggs made where then placed on a very hot spicy bed of some sort of tomato mix, which made them inedible unless you love spice - we do not. (NOTE: it also did not have the lovely pastry's photographed in other reviews for our morning breakfast, so that's already stopped in two week) Nor where we offered or made a decent flat white or latte or tea (you can pay extra for this), instead it was packet everything - make it yourself (same as in your room), not a server in sight and not even a teaspoon when you needed it. We ran out of food, which we had to wait to be cooked and honestly I was so disappointed, not a proper buffet breakfast at all. I did feel safe as it was well lit, though you have to park around back and walk around to the front at night and front desk where exceptional with their help and care and friendly attitude, letting us in immediately (even at night) so 5 starts for the front office staff! Beds where comfy and was a good temperature inside. My honest opinion, I would rather pay a little bit more and get a lot more in terms of a beautiful experience, quality everywhere, and an amazing breakfast and outstanding accomodation such as Naumi which is just...
Read moreSo grateful. Last minute emergency accommodation required for early flight out after travelling 6 hrs , accounting multiple detours, exhausted and our first confirmed hotel was booked out?
Went to 2 others that were booked out too.
Glad Manha had a room available at 11.30pm.
I wish I knew about this hotel sooner. It was less than the other modest prices hotel i usually stay at because its familiar .
The bed was amazing and pillows were perfect for a good rest.
Exceptional clean and modern facilities and room.
Plenty of space in the room, and bathroom.
The main focus i was amazed at was breakfast was included without paying extra.
The breakfast was actually the most impressive menu i have experienced in my hotel stays, as it was very simple, and enough. HOT , fresh , perfect. No re-warmed food from yesterday's.
Staff were very helpful.
We will diffinitly be back now we found you out of our desperate situation we now have changed our regular to you.
Cheers see you next...
Read moreVery clean, very comfortable, and efficient. I had a 1 night layover between long-haul flight and this hotel offered the best combination of value for money and proximity to the airport. |Used the Yellow Bus shuttle from the airport (NZD 8.50) which was quick, easy and a very helpful driver. On arrival check-in was quick and simple. The room key is a contactless card. The room itself came with all the usual stuff, toiletries, coffee, tea, kettle as well as a fridge and crockery and cutlery for in-room dining. One thing to note is that there is no restaurant but a good selection of meals is available through room service at reasonable prices. |Buffet breakfast is included and offers a good range of cold and hot items including scrambled egg, baked beans, hash browns and chicken sausage.|The only criticism I can offer is that there was no fresh coffee, only instant, and the nearest alternative for food is about 1km away. But for a simple layover I can...
