Blake Court Motel — Hotel in North Island

We came to the hotel in the afternoon (26/2/2016) to be served buy this very rude old guy with tattoos, I am not sure if he is the owner but he acted like he was the owner. We stayed in the hotel for not even 40 minutes and decided that we dont want to stay here anymore because of how rude the old dude was to us. We then asked for a our $200 refund and so he did not want to refund us at all because we stayed there for 40 minutes. Well we went to breakers hotel up the road and for only $200 (same price as this hotel) we got a room with an awesome jacuzzi. I then came back to the hotel room to check out and not even 2 hours after we left and found the same guy in our place refilling the coffee and I asked him what he was doing in our room and he was rude back to me and assuming that we had left. I then just left it and carried on with our journey I would highly recommend not to come to this hotel, if it wasnt for this guy it would have been great. I would still like my refund, waste...

I do not recommend anyone stay at this Motel. It is basic and overpriced with very poor service. Our room had 1 queen bad and x2 singles. Due to a change in plans our Son come and stayed in our room. As soon as the counter man found out he rushed over as soon as he could to say we owed him more money. Everything for him was all about the money. (For a 2 year old staying) I went to the counter to try and reason with him but he just dismissed it and said those are the rules. Because he will have to change extra sheets. Poor you mate! While talking to him the phone rang and he then ignored me, and charged my credit card without consulting me. EVERYONE stay clear of this motel. There is much better in Whangamata and I regret...

Just came back from this motel today. Stayed there for 5 days during the Darts tournament. Last year the management and service was great. This time is was SHOCKING!! We asked for one double bedroom and two single beds for a couple and two men. We were confirmed Room 3 and were given Room 2 which meant four adults had to stay in one room!! Service was terrible, had to ask for towels and face cloths. Room wasn't cleaned daily. We were told we could only do our clothes washing from 2 - 7pm at night!! We weren't there during the day so this was an inconvenience. For $200 per night (total $1000) for 5 nights, save your money and NEVER EVER go to this motel. This was a horrible experience and I do NOT recommend ANYONE stay...
