La Dolce Vita Studio Accomodation — Hotel in North Island

We slept on a very comfortable bed in unit 2 of La Dolce Vita which is well situated being close to both the town and the beach. Our two night stay was quiet and peaceful . Access and parking was not an issue since there were no other guests on the first night and only one on the second but, having said that, I can certainly see the potential for difficult egress when all three units are occupied.

However it was some small things that partially spoiled our stay e.g. in the kitchenette; no dish rack, no hand towels, no tea towels, no cloth for wiping down the bench top and a pot scrubber with bristles similar to those on a shaving brush thus rendering it of limited use.

In addition, we had difficulty locking and unlocking both doors and I felt a little nervous about this, hoping that the key was not going to get stuck, bent or broken. I advised Management on Wednesday and was told that this would be looked into on the weekend as it was not until then that there would be anyone...

We stayed here for one night in one of the smaller rooms out the back. Free parking around the back which is quite tight, not suitable for larger vehicles.|| The room itself was tidy and had a fridge and microwave, kitchenette with cooking utensils, tv and couch etc. and of course a toilet and shower via a sliding door.|| The bed was comfy and no traffic noise however there was a light left on outside that shone through the wooden blinds.|| There is a note advising guests to leave a couple of windows open for ventilation and to reduce condensation but this still occurred.||One of the windows above the sink needs some attention.|| Its only a casual 5 minute stroll to the beach and a few minutes more than that in the other direction to the main shops.|| All in all an OK stay, a little too pricey for what...

We were so blessed to stay at La Dolce Vita for one night. We got stuck in Whangamata due to a cyclone and had no where to go. We were desperately calling places at 11:30 at night trying to find somewhere to stay. The lovely hosts answered, considering they were on holiday themselves. They swiftly organised a stay for us and we were so so thankful. Not only was this so generous, but the place is amazing!! I can only imagine what it would be like to relax here in the summer.
