Worst place to eat in town

Placed a phone order but got the wrong items. When I called to correct it, they denied any mistake. I even checked my office camera footage, which proved I ordered correctly, but they still refused to take responsibility. Won’t order again.

Ordered DAL MAKHANI, got DAL TARKA which we never have ordered in our life at any restaurant, Strange thing is - The container says DAL MAKHANI but they refused totally to accept their mistake. Also food was ordered just before 9 and due to beach hop we did not open the food until 10:40 when we got home. Happy to delete the review if we get a refund.

“DONT YOU UNDERSTAND SIMPLE ENGLISH? We only opened the food at 10:40pm and you were closed, otherwise I would have come and thrown that daal tarka on your front door”

Its not about the money or food its about you ripping off customers and just think they will take anything thats left over and not being honest and have courage to accept your mistake.

ARE YOU BLIND CANT YOU SEE THAT BOX CLEARLY SAYS - daal MAKHANI ? Still arguing about it. Be a man and accept it and if have courage - be honest and open your cameras video recording of 8:52 PM and see what we ordered and what your staff repeated he did repeat daal makhani.

I can see your manners and etiquettes clearly, your matter was with a individual person not with our company Tech4NZ - where you told your staff - Amit , Shivam , dharmendra and rohan to post 1 star review where they never been to our store. What a shame for all of you.

Truly amazing food! My partner from India is a bit pickier when it comes to trying Indian restaurants in Nz, but we listened to the great reviews for Chilli Cove and gave it a try. We were both so glad we did, my partner was pleasantly surprised!

Best biryani I’ve ever had, my partner and I ate the heck out of our goat biryani (super tender, moist and flavourful) and lamb seekh kebab with mint sauce (also a flavour punch to my tastebuds). We took away a biryani for a friend too who rated it No.1 out of all the biryanis he’s had so far in the North Island (I agree!). Great portions for both the biryani and kebab too, my partner and I shared it between us with a drink each, and we felt well-fed!

The waiter was a super lovely man too with a kind smile, he made us feel very comfortable! The restaurant has an easygoing atmosphere, well-lit in the afternoon during summer from natural light. Definitely will be back again, my partner is already looking forward to coming back with more of...

Chilli cove is Whangamata's best kept secret no longer! Its rise amongst the array of great dining spots has put it on my top 3 sumptuous delightful dines. Beautiful authentic Indian foods, with fresh spices and flavors screaming at your tastebuds!. I thoroughly recommend the fish masala which is turned into the next butter chicken for this lover of all things spicy. You know, even on the very first time meeting the lovely staff, that your food has been prepared with love and passion.
