We got there 10 minutes after opening, and there was already a queue of eight people ahead of us - it was a good sign. We each ordered The Legend (beef, bacon, cheddar, dijon mustard, salad and relish and we added pickles). My partner ordered a strawberry shake, which arrived while we were waiting for the burgers - very generous shake served in the metal milkshake cup which kept it nice and cold. Nice thick shake with combination of strawberry icecream and syrup, she describes it as 'epic'.
Now onto the burgers - very well assembled, fresh homemade beef patties hot off an open grill, they were the same size as the large buns so you get all the right ingredients down to the last bite. Well balanced, nice dijon and the right amounts of sauces, the pickles we added extra were delicious with hints of dill so definitely recommend that. Really delicious experience!
A great burger joint with friendly staff, who seem to be passionate about what they do and proud of what they create! We would definitely go...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised by the quality (and variety) of the veggie burger options! The halloumi one especially was fantastic— I loved the unique mix of flavors.
In addition, both types of fries were fantastic and well-seasoned; even my husband, who normally doesn't like sweet potato fries as much, loved the kumara fries. I can't say enough good things about the kumara fries, honestly, they were very tasty and texturally perfect (which is a weird thing to say, but if you try them you'll get what I mean)!
The only other thing to note is that the milkshake, to me, was a cross in thickness between a milkshake and a thick shake, if that's every useful information for anyone.
The restaurant is definitely more set up for takeout, with only a few dine-in tables, but we came on a rainy day so I imagine the outside would be more...
Read moreWas OK. Burgers are below average to me. I'd prefer Mc Donald's burgers more and I'm not a huge fan of maccas, more of a burger fuel fan. Kumara fries were a perfect consistency to me and my partner. However a bit burnt unless that's the way it should be. Milkshakes were served in the metal mixer that most places make the Milkshakes in? However I think you get a bit more in that cup than your usual milkshake cardboard cups. Team were friendly aswel but maybe you should relocate your team members from eating at the bar and away from the service area to the tables as it looked as if they were getting a free meal and slightly unprofessional in a way. And yes I do think it may be noticeable that we aren't from here however one staff member standing at the till did not fail to watch us...
