Blue Haven Motel — Hotel in North Island

I would not recommend staying here the owners are aggressive the guy there threatened me and came at me he wanted to call the police because i wanted my money back they were kicking us out because he claims my dog tried to attack another dog when all along my dog was tied up so therefore how could my dog attack it was the other moteliers fault for letting their dog run over to mine he was very angry and was all up in my face yelling at me and his wife had to pull him back and tell him to stop hes lucky i didnt call the police on him we still had two nights stay they refunded us one nights but not the two nights as it was unfair on them they claim it was a loss of income for them what about your guests you idiots we were left without anywhere to sleep greddy motel hosts they were so judgemental and wouldnt reason with us highly disappointed so beware...

As another guest said "A Hidden Gem" ... Stayed three nights and would have loved to stay more. Clean, fresh, and well appointed for anything you'd want and need for a super relaxed motel.

Great beds and bedding. Sunshine-full outdoor area for each unit. Parking in front of each unit. Lovely staff. Really close to amenities (supermarket, bakery, deli, medical centre, pharmacy, a number of restaurants, grocer) and in walking distance of beach and other attractions.

Located off a busy road. Walking distance to takeaways, restaurants, new world supermarket and a petrol station.|Very quiet, clean spacious room. Comfortable bed and great decor. |Enjoyed my stay. Only issue i had was the smoke alarm in our room setting off at 6am. Maybe it’s the new alarm clock cause it certainly woke me up because I’m definitely not a morning person.|After switching it off and dozing back to sleep - it went off again. Happened about 3 times until I had to remove the batteries so I could sleep.
