Eastland Pacific Motor Lodge — Hotel in North Island

We didn’t know much about Opotiki but decided that was a good reason to stay a night. Random selection took us to this place and we were delighted with the communications before we arrived. Our allocated room was spacious with air con and microwave. The bed was very comfy. The crowning glory was the helpful hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. The Caretakers were only new (5 days in) but they were the loveliest couple who made us feel very welcome. We were in Opotiki for a family function. The room we had was a one bedroom unit, which was very clean and tidy, we had a couple of things that required attention (light bulb out) and these were attended to straight away. Really lovely accomodation. So handy, clean and rooms were great with all the necessary amenities and more. Managers are super friendly. I just wish they had a separate area for smokers as this really affected our stay. We couldn't enjoy our outdoor area because we were surrounded by smokers and couldn't even open our windows.
