A restaurant which has super rude staff. They dont know how to behave to customers. Me and my friends ordered 3 fish&mussels and chips in total, when our order ready waiter brought them and put on the table and said " this is one, this is two and this is three" thats it. She didnt tell even enjoy your meal or any other nice thing. And also one of my friend asked the toilets and waiter said to him he should wear mask because he is not from Opotiki. Classic Kiwi takeaway with a twist. Sit down and eat your meal off a plate. The staff were amazing, made us feel welcome and we enjoyed hearing the banter between them out the back. One of our group is coeliac and the separate fryer and care by the staff ment that they could sit and enjoy takeaways with the rest of the group. We will go back again just because we were so impressed with the service and care. Also enjoyed the artwork on the walls too! The loaded wedges were the best with heaps of topping. Rather disappointed. I was looking forward to trying this place after reading the reviews and them having gluten free options. I went in on Tuesday new years public holiday ordered the oyster and chip deal with a piece of Tarakihi gluten free, only to be told the vats for the gluten free option were not on and you have to phone ahead if you want gluten free so they can heat the vat unless you dont mind waiting over an hour for them to turn them on and heat them while you wait. Not exactly helpful or friendly. I would not return...
