Hugo & Carter's Lodge Rotorua, NZ — Hotel in North Island

This was a last minute booking that we made in the car on our way to Rotorua, so I wasn't expecting much, but I was so surprised by how much I loved it that I just had to write a review. The accommodation was this quaint, well-maintained, heritage cottage in a quiet area of the city. The inside of the cottage was just gorgeous! So many details and beautiful pieces went into this lodge that it felt like home and an English cottage all at once. The bathroom had perfumed diffuser sticks that smelt wonderful and it had all the amenities you need for your stay. The shared lounge is lovely with leather chairs and a fireplace. We loved it so much that we even booked another night. Would definitely stay...

This place is amazing. Beautiful and quiet. Shared space with open fire and comfortable couches. Spacious rooms and great bathrooms with his and hers. was only a short drive to anything we wanted to see in the area. It had several really nice little touches that I'd never seen at any hotel accomodations before. Complimentary drinks, brandy (and some other spirit). It was so easy to find, park and get in and out of. no annoying keys or having to meet someone.

Hugo and Carters lodge is beautiful, trendy and cosy. Tastefully decorated with a real attention to every little detail. Very clean. Fantastic location and easy to find.
