Left me thoroughly impressed, and I cannot recommend it enough. The value for money is exceptional, offering a delightful array of cuisines that cater to diverse tastes.

Remarkable reception experience. No unnecessary hassle or tedious checks; a smooth entry. This streamlined approach set a positive tone for the entire visit, emphasizing efficiency without compromising on hospitality.

The staff at Pataka Kai deserve special commendation for their incredible friendliness and attentiveness. Empty plates didn't linger for a moment; they were promptly cleared, reflecting a commitment to maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment.

The buffet lunch itself was a culinary delight, boasting a range of dishes that pleased every palate. The value for money was evident in the diverse selection and quality of the offerings. I wholeheartedly recommend Pataka Kai to anyone seeking a delightful and seamless...

Took my cousin from England there and had a fabulous meal. It was the inaugural night for the return of their degustation meal and what a meal. The food was next level, ingredients all local and spectacular and the staff so accommodating, so friendly and a pleasure to be around. I'm in a wheelchair and could nott partake in the second course venue by the thermal pool so they set up my own table by the fire till my cousin came back. I felt like a celebrity. Warm welcome by Rob on a very cold night. If you like mouth watering Maori kai, want to feel special and have a great experience you have to go. Take a group and enjoy even more. A fraction of the price of what i paid for a similar Michelin Star meal in the UK and I reckon Te Puia had better food. Enjoy and thank you Te Puia, you made my cousin's visit...

What a hidden gem and a delightful surprise. Joined friend's for aNew Year's day lunch and so glad we chose Pataka Kai as the venue. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome, the atmosphere was inviting and cool on a hot summer's day, with great natural ventilation/ breeze blowing through the restaurant. (Helping to keep us safe during Covid). The show stopper was the buffet. Freshly prepared and beautifully presented food. A good selection of food to suit most tastes , and totally changed my perception of a Hangi Buffet. The food was tasty, had flair and healthy and modern. The views were stunning, and the overall experience was 10 out 10. The whole team should be proud of what they have delivered. Great staff great atmosphere and amazing value for money. Well done! One of the best in Rotorua! Went on a Tuesday night for birthday dinner and was not busy at all, although there were a few groups of tourists that time, but the restaurant was still very spacious. The staff were welcoming and place had great ambiance, could see the geysers from the restaurant during the day. Food was delicious and sumptuous! Had unlimited oysters and baked salmon which was the bomb! Great range of food with asian and maori cuisine. Will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant. And if you do the tour, Auntie Milly was fun and very knowledgeable with the Maori culture, gave us a wonderful experience at Te Puia. 😊
