Great food, good portion sizes,very well priced, and amazing staff. This is a great take away restaurant for Indian food, and all the meat is Halal in this restaurant. The owners are a lovely Indian couple who go an extra mile to serve you. The food has different portion sizes which also comes really handy as it helps you try more dishes. Tried the Daal and chicken tikka in smaller portion sizes, yet the food was plenty. The food had authentic taste, and was very well prepared. The butter naan was super soft and tasted great. as well. We placed a take away order and our arrival time was showing 10 minutes beyond their closing time, yet they agreed to stay later for us which was a great gesture. Ordered three large butter chicken meals at 6 PM and ended up waiting an hour to receive our food. During the wait, I asked for an update and was told it would be another 10 minutes, but it took an additional 20. It would have been helpful if staff had given a more accurate wait time upfront, especially since at least three other customers were also expressing frustration about delays. I just wrapped up the exhilarating Whaka 100km Mountain Bike race and headed straight to Indian Aroma! Promote and Udge are incredible—talk about an atmosphere filled with the warm, positive vibes of Indian hospitality! This isn’t my first rodeo in Rotorua for mountain biking, and each time, I make a beeline for Indian Aroma.

The portions are massive, the flavors are absolutely mouthwatering, and the prices are unbeatable! I always feel like I’m visiting family here.
