Katikati Motel — Hotel in North Island

The gardens are completely messy ..no edible food there The host is not even living onsite and she crams families into the units in squalor everything from the moldy fridge to the lack of heating unsafe pest ridden with very eery people living there in the office house . I have been told not to have mail sent there because it will go missing, her words not to look at or speak to the menacing house guests she says are family(no resemblance) and under_her care' ...strange. the guests beside and behind the office all play loud annoying music they think is cool they mill around all-day all-night parties and the families there are living and not considered at all the adults in unit 2 and back of office are immature menacing and there are underage kids going about the place half cut. She did not want to know when i suggest kd they keep it down there was no toilet facility in my room ir shower yet i paid top dollar and provides completely non compliant accommodation. I had the misfortune of staying at the KatiKati motel on a brief business stopover, unfortunately I did not have time to check reviews and that was a big mistake. ||The room was worse than basic, wallpaper peeling, stained bedcovers, a rickety half painted side table, and in mid winter a room with no double glazing or heating. Sorry there was a tiny fan heater that worked intermittently and could not warm up a shoe box. The bathroom was dated with a dirty stained basin and a trickle of hot water in the shower. While the price was reasonable, you really paid more than it was worth. ||However if you enjoy the sound of large trucks serenading you as you sleep, this motel gives it to you in spades. ||There was Wifi, but the signal so so weak and slow, it would have been better using a signal lamp.||If you have to stay in the area,...

This place does not comply with "any" health and safety standards i was given two single beds with an oversized floppy king sized mattress to sleep on the atmosphere was glum the grounds had dog poo where kids were meant to play infested with cockroaches no toilet no shower $125 per night my mail was stolen families of 6 crammed into a room the sordid list goes to the manager shut it down clean up your act then do it properly or not at all you know the description on trip advisor especially is a lie.
