Yes.... pretty late for this review but. Around January 2025, we stopped here in katikati to get some food before heading to Athenree. When walking into this store, it was pretty dodge. the atmosphere looked strange and also it just looked so abnormal. I walked in there to look at the food. There was barely any food. (also the food looked very poor) The staff looked dodge, the store looked dodge. I just got a very strange feeling about this place. This is not a place to visit for authentic Japanese food. We purchased bento plates for a costly sum only to be extremely disappointed on the first bite. The deep fried food was cold, the teriyaki sauce tasted strange and the chicken tasted like shredded rotisserie chicken with sauce poured over rather than chicken marinaded in a sauce it was cooked in. Driving through back to Auckland and we spent $40 for 2 people, most expensive sushi we have ever purchased, not sure if we were charged correctly. Also worst sushi we have ever had.
