Our recent stay at Tairua Campground was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment we arrived, the fantastic facilities and proximity to both town and the beach exceeded our expectations. The convenience of a walkway just opposite the camp entrance leading directly to the beach made our coastal retreat incredibly accessible (especially meaning we didn’t need to load the baby into the car to drive miles!)

A special shout-out to Charlie, whose warmth and hospitality were the cherry on top of our delightful experience. His friendliness and helpfulness ensured that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even camping with our 18-month-old, which we anticipated to be stressful, turned out to be a breeze thanks to Charlie's reassurance and the welcoming atmosphere fostered by fellow campers.

The shared camp facilities and games provided the perfect backdrop for connecting with other campers. It was heartening to see everyone coming together, creating a sense of community that enhanced our overall enjoyment.

This remarkable experience was a topic of conversation all the way home, and without a doubt, we'll be returning. The enthusiasm has spread, and our family and friends, upon seeing our photos and hearing about our stay, are eager to join us on our next visit. Tairua Campground, with its outstanding facilities, incredible staff, and sense of camaraderie, has undoubtedly secured its spot as our go-to destination. Can't...

Our recent stay at Tairua Campground exceeded our expectations and left us with unforgettable memories to cherish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, instantly making us feel like part of the family.

The campground provided a safe and secure environment for our family getaway from Auckland. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. We appreciated the friendly atmosphere and sense of community among fellow campers, which added to the overall feeling of security.

Our kids LOVED the games room! It kept our 3-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter happily occupied while we relaxed after sightseeing. They had a blast bonding with each other and other kids over games and activities. The local shops is only a 1 min walk around the corner and everything you need is close by.

But the real highlight for us was the exceptional hospitality of the campground managers, Heather and Charlie. From the get-go, they treated us like long-lost family, showering us with warmth, kindness, and plenty of laughs. Our kids even started calling them "Aunty Heather" and "Uncle Charlie."

Our hearts are full of gratitude for the memories we created during our stay, and we can't wait to return soon for more fun times. Thank you, Heather and Charlie, for creating a campground that feels like a home away from home. We'll be back soon to make many more cherished...

AMAZING! My family only stayed for 2 nights (xmas eve and xmas night), and from the moment we arrived, which was super early too, we were treated like family. My kids were treated with a small bag of lollies on arrival, and once we were all set up, we had the wonderful Charlie checking on us and making sure everyone was okay. The camp kitchen is small but has EVERYTHING you could need (and more) and the best thing is, it was clean! The showers and toilets were always clean and the family room was just what we needed to keep the kids entertained while we cooked, kitted out with heaps of games, a pool table, massive couches and a big screen TV. The beach is a short walk away, no more than 3 minutes and about 10 minutes to the playground. The Tairua information centre and town centre also a hop and a skip from the campground, making getting information on activites, an ice-cream or burgers easy. On xmas day, Charlie and Heather set out a table with multiple desserts, and the entire camp was invited to help themselves to a plate (also provided). We also had our dog with us and some birds and the camp, after looking around, had many tents with dogs and everyone was so well behaved. We will definitely be back before summer is over if we are not too late to nab a spot. Best campgrounds I have been to out of MANY campgrounds around the country in my 22 years...

My partner and I travelled from Hamilton to Tairua Campground to have our last trip away before baby comes. This place was nothing short of amazing. Charlie and Heather (managers of the campground) have created a wonderful experience for all those who stay. They’re welcoming, inclusive and have kept the site extremely clean and tidy. Showers were hot and pressure was perfect. The place wasn’t loud and the people staying on the site were all friendly and gave you space to do your own thing. We have decided this is the place to be and will definitely be coming back again. You can bring your motorhome, van, trailer and cars. Pets are also allowed, we met a few cats and Heather and Charlie’s adorable dog Ben. Highly recommend this place to all. Very cost effective and worthwhile. Thanks team, awesome stay!

No need to look further, "Tairua Campground - Paradise Coast" is the perfect place for you to stay! An easy 5-star rating. Charlie and Heather are the greatest hosts. Friendly and helpful, they made me feel so welcome. I've parked my campervan on an unpowered spot for $20/night and use the common areas. There is everything you might need from a fully equipped kitchen, games room, bathrooms with $2 7-minute hot shower, outdoor area with BBQ and sunbeds, laundry room, dumping station and many more details that make a real difference. It truly felt like home.. so I came back and had a blast every single time. Centrally located, only 2 minutes from the beach. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Charlie is the most thoughtful, gracious host. Wonderful sense of hospitality. THANK YOU ✨

We stayed in our motorhome for three nights in this small friendly park run by a very accommodating couple. The grounds are spacious and uncluttered with other travellers, particularly at this time of year. The small but very clean kitchen is a winner. All the gear you need to prepare meals. Toilets and showers are older but have been refreshed with a lick of pant in recent times. They're also nice and clean. Tairua itself is a very nice and alive little village in a sheltered bay. No problems with refreshing supplies. There's a well stocked 4 Square, along with a couple of bottleshops, butcher, bakery, and several food establishments. All of this without feeling that you're in a busy touristy hotspot.
