Ooo pies! Reasonable range of food, nice setting, and quick and friendly service on one of the busiest tourist days of the year. And of course in the modern era we need to mention the fact that they had good Covid safety protocols in place when we visited. This doesn't matter as much to me as the pie did, though. It was a good pie. I was hungry.

Went here to go and get a pie for lunch. The pie tasted alright and i think that it was a dad's pies (these are packet pies). Found the bakery to also be a little overpriced at $6 for a pie considering that I believe it was a dad's pie. I also found the other items in the bakery to be overpriced.

Quick stop for coffee on the way out of Tairua one morning and a sandwich the day before - staff are friendly - they seem eco friendly in their practices which is refreshing. Good location with parking out the front and across the road. Sandwich was a bit basic but it was fresh.

We had a disappointing experience at this bakery café. The service was poor and unwelcoming—it felt as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to buy coffee or food. The staff showed no sense of customer service or friendliness. I understand that busy days can be stressful, but rushing customers and rudely asking them to move is not the way to make anyone feel comfortable or valued.

On top of that, the coffee was subpar. My latte was more like a flat white, and the Americano was closer to a short or long black, the cup was literally half way, when the Americano is supposed to have more hot water.

I hope this was just an off day for them, as this is the only option in the area for coffee and breakfast. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't pleasant, and I wouldn’t recommend it based...

My daughter had a pulled pork wrap and a custard slice. The wrap fell flat, lean on pork and lots of salad; the custard slice was OK but very commercial. I tried to make a selection with dietary requirement, that was impossible. Ordered a coffee and keto ball, both were fine. Nice sofa but no inside tables. My wife and son could not find anything so they had to go down the road to find something else.

Super disapointing, I have driven by this place in Tairua for years and this was my first chance to go in during their opening hours. The first staff member was very blunt, the second who attempted to engage appeared friendly but we didn't want to engage further...
