Ocean beach on a rainy day is a serene place, with a sense of isolation. Despite Tairua township nearby, the beach felt like its own world. I'm prejudiced in favour of this beach. Here are the reasons; reasonable and, at times, great surf; beautiful views; long beach for walking on; rocks for exploring; and a wonderful seaside town.
