Lilybrook Motels — Hotel in South Island

I missed a step outside my room and fell, rolling my ankle in the process. Being in considerable pain I requested from reception some ice for my ankle. ||||About 5 minutes later they guy knocked on my door, refused to provide ice and was extremely aggressive and rude and accused me of trying to get money out of him for ACC. When I said look, I have to work all day on my feet tomorrow I really just wanted the ice so that I could reduce pain and swelling. This place is a shining star in a very dull town! We have struggled to find comfort and pleasantness in the town but at this motel we found sanction. The wonderful owners here are so lovely and outgoing. We felt so comfortable if we had any queries or issues. The rooms are immaculate and tastefully decorated. Very friendly welcoming staff and clean pleasant room. Unless the owners put double glazing on all windows and ranch sliders the constant traffic noise couldn't be controlled. The gardens out the front could look lovely and welcoming but when we stayed they were unkempt and uncared for. The Basin in the bathroom is extremely awkward to fill kettle and washing bowl. A larger or different shaped one would be easier. Very reasonable room rate and restaurant and take ways as well as convenience store over the road made it a good...
