To have an Indian restaurant, of this quality in Rangiora, is simply amazing. The owner and staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. The menu choices are plentyful, and the flavours are authentically Indian. The restaurant offers many specials, and each time we have visited, we left with the most amazing flavours, and satisfied belly's. Our kids love the food too La Tandoor's quality and class compete and outclass any Indian Restaurant in Canterbury. Simply put, La Tandoor is world class! They are easy to find, right across from Winnie Bagoes Victoria Street, Rangiora. I highly recommend La Tandoor - give them a try, I am convinced they will become your favourite restaurant...

We have support La Tandoor Rangiora for more than 4 years, we had never had any problems with the food nor the staff, but the MANAGER/OWNER is a real piece of work. He is so rude, he should not be working with the public. First he took the wrong order over the phone, and when I phone after I got home and realise his mistake he shouted at me and hung up on me. It is really sad, but I will never buy from then again and I will tell everyone I know about this experience. Have had a takeaway from here before and it was alright so decided to go in for dinner and was really disappointed with the main I got. I ordered the goat curry. When it arrived i drowned my rice with the sauce and took my first mouthful. Biggest mistake ever. It was soooo salty it was inedible. I thought ok I'll just eat the meat. Then to my shock there was a long piece of string in my around a piece of my meat. Had to send it back. The establishment offered me a different curry but by the time the new curry came out the rest of my group had pretty much finished theirs. I definitely wont be going back...
