A good find 10km from the town centre but by Lake Wakatipu. The apartment had three bedrooms with two of them consisting of a queen bed and the other having two singles. So 6 people would be the most you can comfortably sleep without using the sofas in the lounge. The apartment itself was quite large and was two floors. On the bottom floor there was a separate living room and lounge both which consisted of a small television. A full kitchen and a dining table could also be found on the bottom floor. You couldn’t complain that something was missing as there was a lot of room and all the amenities you would have in a home. The fridge is not your typical mini bar stocked with snacks and drinks but had a dozen milk pods. There was a toilet near the kitchen as well meaning there were three toilets in the apartment. On the upper floor there were three bedrooms and two full bathrooms complete with a separate bath and shower along with all the soaps and shampoos which were of average quality. The bathrooms were quite spacious and all had heater/fan, heated towel racks etc. The bedrooms all had a lake view which was nice and all had a small television. The floor to ceiling windows made for a great view. There was a wide range of pillows to choose from and the mattresses were alright. I didn’t encounter any problem such as stained sheets or sanitary items from previous guests so on the hygiene front everything was adequate. Being an apartment and only staying for one night meant we didn’t miss house keeping or room service but the whole place was rather clean upon arrival. We had 5 people and never moaned about space as there was so much of it and was easily bigger than having three bedrooms in a hotel. We were visiting during the New Zealand school holidays so those unaware would have been surprised at the price of the apartment. So if you want to avoid these high prices I would recommend travelling outside New Zealand school holidays. Overall I thought this was a convenient place to stay for one night on the lake front, however you have to drive for about 10 minutes to the town centre but that didn’t bother me. This place is great for families due to the sheer size and the apartment consisting of 3 bedrooms. I would definitely consider this place if I return to Queenstown...
Read moreBooked a 6 bdrm apartment, in one room we found a pair of disgusting slippers under the bed, a pair of socks left inside the wardrobe, and a bath towel hanging behind the door. ||Window latches gone off 2 windows and tv in second lounge didn't work. To their credit they did fix one window and taped the other shut - note, sellotape does not keep a window shut for long...||There are also no plugs to any of the bathroom sinks - it's pretty disgusting brushing your teeth and looking down the sinkhole at previous guests hair :(||We went for the 6 bdrm apartment so we could all be together (& also booked a 2 bdrm for extra family), I certainly paid a premium for this as we could have got a couple of 3 bdrm places for a lot less. I did expect it would be overall cleaner and nicer than what it actually was so was pretty disappointed. The bathroom items provided are basic and no facecloths provided. Only 2 dishwash cleans could be done with what was provided in kitchen. No coffee sachets except decaf, and while there was a hot choc tin, it was almost empty and I’m not using something that many others have stuck their hands in. The dining chairs fabric is disintegrating and bits of the white material end up all over the floor (we would have like to have vacuumed halfway thru our stay because of this but there was no vacuum cleaner or broom).||Nowhere on their website (that I found) did it say the apartment was over 3 levels – something my 75 year old mother did struggle with a bit, again this would have been a flag for us.|| ||So overall, it was handy being together but the apartment seemed old and tired and really not worth the price we paid. ||I did email the place to relay all my concerns, they have chosen not to reply to me.||I also see on their website they only have reviews that they have sourced from elsewhere (I can't leave this there direct) so they choose the...
Read moreWe overnighted in this 2-bedroom, 2 bath apartment right near the Hilton, which couldn't accommodate us on the last night of our southern sojourn. What a pleasant surprise to find such a quiet, nicely furnished, very clean lodging just steps away from the celebratory "last night in Queenstown" dinner we'd already booked at the Hilton's restaurant. ||||The thought of having to taxi back and forth from downtown Queenstown for the big dinner on our last night was very unappealing, so finding this apartment kind of rescued us. ||||The price was modest and the check-in arrangements were a snap. Everything was very well explained in the informational emails and confirmations we received before departing on our trip. We had no trouble getting in or out, and as a bonus the lodging was convenient to the airport for our early morning flight back to Wellington. ||||We'd certainly consider staying here again, especially if traveling with friends or family members, so that we could all be together, in such pleasant surroundings. For four people, this would be a real bargain. ||||The only drawback -- for some, maybe, but not for us -- might be the steep walk to get between the apartments and the lake shore with its lovely walking trail, and also the various eateries around the Hilton, although with a full kitchen, it would be easy to bring or to make your own meals right here.||||And, more than compensating for the steep access, there are fine views of the lake and mountains from these apartments, and you're far enough from the bustle to enjoy peaceful nights good for sleeping after busy, active days.||||Highly...
