New Haven Motel — Hotel in Whau

I stayed at this motel last year for 3 weeks while my husband was in hospital. I have stayed in many motels throughout the years and this has to have been one of the best so far. The owner Ian was just amazing. The cleaning staff amazing. The rooms very clean and had everything I needed. I was upgraded to a family room to accommodate my family who were coming and going to visit my husband. This 2 bedroom unit was amazing. TV in the lounge as well as a TV in one of the bedrooms. Nice lounge space and great kitchen facilities. Beds were so comfortable. I could not have asked for better service then what I received from all people involved in running this place. Towels were replaced everyday and sheets were changed every second day. Thank you so much to Ian and staff keep up the amazing hospitality. Of all the motels I've stayed in over the years this is by far the absolute best. The rooms are amazing, large, clean, full equipped and very comfortable. The staff are great, super friendly and very accommodating. On one occasion one of the staff stayed behind at the office an hour after closing just so they can give me the key to my room. On another occasion I misplaced my wife's entire jewelry collection and only realized after checking out. I rushed back to find they had found it and kept it safe for me. Needless to say I was very impressed appreciative with their honesty. They have more then 8 sky channels playing so that's a massive bonus when you just wanna lay in bed. I spent a night here a week ago en route to Tauranga. The lovely warm welcome from Michael set the tone for a very comfortable stay. I had booked a studio apartment but was upgraded to a very spacious 2 storey apartment. My stay was short so I didn’t have time to explore the general facilities of the motel or the surrounding areas, but I can say that my accommodation was excellent. Everything was fresh and clean, the kitchenette had everything I needed, there were sofas to lounge on in front of the flat screen tv, and finally a very comfortable large bed and quality linen for a good night’s sleep. I would definitely recommend this motel and am looking forward to returning for my last night before leaving...
