This is the probably the most disappointing afternoon tea I have experienced. We are a group of 4 and we were sharing the items all in one 3-tier serving tray. |Firstly the portion were so tiny, 85% of the items was just about a thumb size and very simple (many were just with some cheese / sweet cream filling on a very small muffin). Size smaller than the macaron that was served. Total pcs were about 9-10pcs. I was left hungry and very disappointed. The savoury sandwich was basically a standard sandwich cut into 4 pcs, shared by 4 pax. The scones were disappointing, totally under cooked. My friend and I took the same flavor tea, because it is the same flavor tea, we only got 1 pot and the service staff had to refill with hot water when it was empty. | Thus leaving the tea bland and no flavor at all after the 2nd round. Read moreGood food and a nice atmosphere and normally great service in the restaurant (Andre Etasje). Had an kick off day here with work (70 people) which included dinner and wine. Good times until a young waiter told us at dinner that we couldn’t have any more wine due to our noise level. (After 2 glasses each). We were having fun and laughing which was clearly too much for him and he told us to be quiet. Our Company (local to Tønsberg) booked the whole restaurant so there were no external guests so not sure what his issue was.He didn’t clarify the reasons very well so the conclusion we came to was that it’s a stuck up place. In summary, eat / stay / use for conference here by all means but don’t have a good laugh at your dinner. If you are stuck up and like to whisper during your dinner, and want to pay top dollar for that, this is the place for you. The hotel will need to work hard to get our company to return. À notre arrivée dans la chambre nous avons dû constater qu'il manque de l'équipement comme la bouilloire par exemple. Ensuite beaucoup de poussière ainsi qu'une ampoule manquante dans la salle de bain un évier bouché et plein de cheveux par terre je vous épargne la crasse sur la porte de douche, un cache prise qui s'arrache, plafond qui fissure (photos).
Nous réfléchissons et nous nous disons que peut-être demain ça s'arrangera avec le service entretien/ménage.
Sauf que voilà durant tout le séjour aucune personne n'est venue faire le lit changer de poubelle malgré nos sollicitations à l'accueil où plusieurs fois on nous a dit que oui ça sera fait. Nous avons croisé une dame de ménage dans le couloir et eĺle nous a dit de prendre nous-même nos serviettes sales, de les poser par terre et de récupérer des propres dans un chariot errant dans le couloir depuis le début. Pour faire le lit, elle n'a pas voulu; c'était à nous de faire le lit dans un hôtel 4 étoiles soi-disant. C'est inadmissible pour l'hygiène d'autant plus que nous vivons dans une période de pandémie....
Le plus dérangeant dans cette affaire c'est que ce n'est pas faute de se plaindre. Au prix du séjour c'est une honte.
Heureusement le petit-déjeuner est un OVNI dans cet établissement. Nous avons même l'impression que c'est une gestion différente, le personnel est nombreux, souriant et les ingrédients comme le choix sont au top.
We stayed from 24 to 29 room 514.
When we arrived in the room we must have noticed that some equipment is missing, such as the kettle for example. Then a lot of dust as well as a missing bulb in the bathroom a clogged sink and lots of hair on the floor I spare you the grime on the shower door, a socket cover which tears off, ceiling which cracks (photos).
We think about it and we say to ourselves that maybe tomorrow it will be arranged with the maintenance / cleaning service.
Except that during the whole stay no one came to make the bed change the trash despite our requests at the reception where several times we were told that yes it will be done. We passed a cleaning lady in the hallway and she told us to take our dirty towels ourselves, put them on the floor, and collect clean ones from a cart that has been wandering the hallway from the start. To make the bed, she didn't want to; it was up to us to make the bed in a so-called 4 star hotel. This is unacceptable for hygiene, especially since we are living in a period of pandemic ....
What is most disturbing in this case is that it is not for lack of complaint. At the cost of the stay it's a shame.
Fortunately the breakfast is a UFO at this establishment. We even have the impression that it is a different management, the staff is numerous, smiling and the ingredients as the choice...
