A terrible experience. Upon arrival we were asked to present a Hotel voucher. We booked through Oman Air/Holidays and were not told that we physically had to present voucher at reception. We were rudely refused checkin. After an hour or discussing that they actually have our names in their system and they should at least let us rest after a long flight until we find this voucher, they let us go to our room. In our opinion, the voucher system is very old school, should be eliminated, caused a lot of stress.
Hotel staff have an attitude, not a good one. You ask them questions, and they answer with a big sigh. The answer usually will not answer your question. We asked for recommendations on where to get a COVID swab test for travel. The man at reception sighed, and said “why don’t you just search google?” Ask for WiFi password, another sigh and sarcastic comments. People at the hotel are really not nice.
Room floors are not clean, bed sheets looked used, to be fair they were white but we’re not taut so I felt like they weren’t changed. They skipped cleaning on our first night, had to ask reception to send them over in the evening, reception responded with another sigh, like they hated this place and our company.
AC and bathroom exhaust fans too loud for comfort.
Bathrooms faucet pressure was good.
Fridge in room doesn’t work.
WiFi was good.
Finally, we booked our stay with all meals inclusive. We were refused at the restaurant because there was a confusion, sighs at reception etc and we got that fixed. There are flies at the restaurant.
The waiter Rajesh at the restaurant is a champ, very nice guy, remembers you, greets nicely too, and remembers what you ordered. Breakfast is okay, all other meals I would not recommend. They are not great, you can find better just walk out.
Cleanliness 0/5. Staff 0/5. WiFi 5/5. Location 4/5 (big malls in area, lots of shops, and near a big highway exit) Overall 0/5.
Would not recommend...

Very clean too.The bed was of a King size and the mattress quite good as we had quite good sleep the two nights we stayed.||A TV screen ,a small fridge and Air Con was also available in the room||Complimentary bottled Mineral water ,coffee and tea were also available for us.||WiFi was available but I had problems to connect, the gentlemen at reception helped a lot. Breakfast was available in the rate and it was indeed quite reasonable, no complaints. We had also dinner in the Hotel and it was quite good.||Overall, a good 3 star Hotel clean with excellent staff and at competitive rates.||The location is also good ,Al Ghubrah, near the 2 Malls. Read moreStayed with kids for two nights. Hotel staff was not so welcoming. Here are some tips for others.
Pros:
One of the best locations in Muscat, only 2 min drive from Avenues and Grand Mall. Just outside the hotel, there are lots of take-aways, else you can find nice restaurants in under 10 min drive. An average cleaning swimming pool.
Cons:
Though hotel mentions that they give a baby cot, but the thing that they provided was very dirty, with large stains and somewhat stinky. I preferred not to use it and asked for a spare mattress, but they asked for extra money of 5 OMR. The bed pillows are really hard and bulky like rocks. If you are used to a soft thin pillow, be careful. It can cost a whole night sleep. I asked for a power plug adapter to charge my iphone and laptop. The staff there refused and argued that why you need it and then gave me a low grade usb charger for mobile phone. I refused. Later he gave me this plug adapter. Very few (almost none) English TV channels. Not even kids cartoons.
Overall:...
