🚫 True Review for Mövenpick Hotel (Executive Floor) from World Traveller

Even though the staff were polite and professional, nothing can compensate for the appalling condition of the rooms. I stayed on the Executive Floor (6th) — supposedly the premium experience — and was shocked by how old, outdated, and neglected everything felt.

The room was dark and dingy, with furniture and decor that looked like they hadn’t been updated in decades. The worst part? The bathroom, which was nothing like the promotional photos. Cracked tiles, grime, stained fixtures — a total hygiene red flag. If this is what the Executive Floor looks like, I can’t imagine the state of the standard rooms.

This was meant to be a higher-tier stay under the Accor Hotels group, and frankly, I expected a minimum level of quality. Instead, I got false advertising, zero attention to maintenance, and a very disappointing experience overall. Mövenpick has clearly fallen far below international hospitality standards.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it to others? Never.
