Meh, is probably the best way to describe the experience, food and service. Yes, this is a blast to the past in certain ways, but with led lights and furniture from the 50's puts shezan ampis in the middle of neither The food quality has unfortunately declined, but the prices have augmented. Costing no less than springs cafe or any other higher end restaurant/cafe. It's not bad, just not worth the price tag. The waitstaff was incredibly reluctant to turn up the ac, it was terribly hot, and ironically enough the food was cold. I went to Shezan Ampis last week. Took my dad, who was visiting Karachi, he used to go there when he was young. The last time he was there was 40 years ago... and he said it looks exactly the same. Which was unfortunate because the place felt like it was stuck in time - in a sad way. The bill was Rs. 5000+ and I got a discount on HBL 👏 The food was fresh but tasteless and small portions. Bread basket was complimentary but seemed a bit stale,everything was chewy and cold.
